Westside Children's Home -> Riverside Hospital
Moss says nothing, simply picking up Tor as gently and safely as possible, using the torn remains of his shirt to wipe away any bloodstains he can get within easy reach. He craddles the boy's head and does his best to keep the legs from being jostled as he walks out the door.
Before he turns away from Riley and Gertrude, he levels and almost accusatory glare at Riley. Gertrude will certainly notice, and it may get him in trouble with her later, but he can't help but feel some anger at the clearly misguided lad.
Then he's off to get Tor's sole functioning leg treated. It will probably be some time before the wound is sewed, cleaned and any bones harmed cast and set, so all this can be done offscreen by trained professionals. Moss won't leave Tor's side during the entire thing. At most, he waits outside the surgery room pacing.
Westside Children's Home
"Because my other arm had starspawn in it and it got shot off?" Riley looks at his arm, unsure as to how to remove the bracelet clip, then just shrugs and ejects the last two rounds as if they had been fired normally but without all the screaming and exploding and thousands of miles per hour.
Westside Children's Home
"I am afraid this arm will need to be removed as well, and replaced with a less dangerous prosthetic if you are to be allowed to stay." she says in a tone that suggests this decision is final. "Now, child, tell me exactly what happened."
Westside Children's Home
Riley's eyes flare up and the eldritch voice returns for but a moment as he clutches at his arm.
"NO!"
"Tor isn't a real boy. He's a monster. Maybe a monster-boy. And he hit me. A lot. And he's scary. And I shot his knees."
Westside Children's Home
"Monster isn't a nice word, and we don't use it here. The Prophet loves all children, no matter how they are shaped," Sister Gertrude says. Yes, she just scolded him for name calling before scolding him for using deadly force in a fight. :smallsigh: "What did Tor hit you with?"
Westside Children's Home
"His fists. But I read his mind! He...he..." Riley realizes just how little evidence he got from the mind reading...
Westside Children's Home
"You read his mind and saw that he wanted to hurt you. So you wanted to hurt him back," Sister Gertrude says. "Is that right?"
Westside Children's Home
"I didn't want to hurt him!" Riley insists.

Cutter sees the mouth wrapped around his sword and hisses as he wrenches it sideways, trying to slice the blade out of the creature. With any luck, the horror might begin feeling sick from the plagues on the weapon and convince it to leave them alone.
Westside Children's Home
"Do not tell lies, child. You shot him with high explosive rounds. Or do you mean you didn't want to hurt him because you wanted to kill him?" Sister Gertrude asks.

Run run run run runaway!
Westside Children's Home
Riley scowls, gets up, and starts walking away, fuming. He's headed to the front door, it seems!
Westside Children's Home
The door to the room closes and locks before he reaches it. "Why did you shoot Tor?"
Westside Children's Home
"If you all want to be eaten or something by some monster, go right ahead. But I ran away from R'lyeh so that I wouldn't be eaten. I guess Santa Puppy just sent me to the wrong home," Riley kicks at the door.
Westside Children's Home
"You still have R'lyeh within you child, yet we did not turn you away." Gertrude says calmly.
Westside Children's Home
Riley's eyes widen.
"What?"
Westside Children's Home
Gertrude (who sat down soon after entering the room, though I forgot to mention it) holds out her staff, pointing it at Riley and waves it in a circle, creating an effect that should reveal hidden things - even things best left hidden. But she trusts her own faith to protect her, and Riley's long experience with Cthulhu to protect him.
Westside Children's Home
The spell reveals the aura around Riley-especially strong around his left arm-bright green lights and wispy starspawn and horrid things swirling about him, a great claw grasping his skull, those sorts of things.
Riley screams.
And screams.
And screams.
His arm unfolds into a protective cocoon around him, muffling his screams to almost nothing, but he keeps screaming.
Part of the aura changes into an eye and stares at Gertrude.
"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS INCURSION?"
Westside Children's Home
The spell also causes the bogeyman in the shadows to lose control of his form, reverting to the closest thing he has to a "true" shape; a man so tall and thin he looks like he'd snap at the slightest breeze, with skin pale enough you can see the bones, veins and beating organs beneath and long, grey hair. He's dressed in rags, although the tattered clothing is as much a part of him as his black, blank eyes, and that in combination with the scruffy stubble on his chin and the smoke clenched between his teeth gives him the distinct air of a drifter.
He blinks, rather surprised by the sudden gain in mass and form, removing the chewed dog-end of a cigar from his mouth to give a sheepish smile. "Hello?"
Lillith is here, blind as ever and for once without Micheal. She thankfully doesn't see either the Eldritch Horror or the boogeyman's true form, and all but has her hands over her ears to block out the sound of Riley screaming.
She only came down to see if everyone was alright, but now she has no idea what's going on! Someone should help with that, even if it's the boogeyman. *nudge nudge*
Westside Children's Home
This scene can go one of two ways. TS's choice.
Version 1:
Sister Gertrude ripples with power again, though she remains seated. "This child was placed under my protection. He is no longer yours. Begone from him, or I will summon The Wolf."
She means Wolfy, as Cthulhu should well know. Wolfy and Sister Gertrude vs Cthulhu is not likely to go well for squidface - at least when the Stars Are Not Right.
The boogeyman gets no notice. She has bigger squid to fry.

Version 2:
Sister Gertrude ripples with power again, though she remains seated. "This child was placed under my protection. He is no longer yours. Begone from him." She casts a powerful spell of Banishment that should loosen Cthulhu's hold over Riley, or perhaps break it completely.
The boogeyman gets no notice. She has bigger squid to fry.

((OOC: If Cthulhu can't be either banished or sealed up in some way, then Riley won't be able to stay in the Children's Home. The caretakers have to consider the other children's safety. Option 1 gives Cthulhu the chance to simply flee completely without a fight, or have an over the top OP fight with a god. Option 2 is more of an equal fight, but seems like it'd tear Riley in half between them. Option 3, unwritten, would be a mindscape battle between Riley and Cthulhu, but that seems kind of boring for you since you play both of them. Anyway, your choice. Or if you can think of another, bring it up in OOC thread.))

Ah, whattaheck, let's go with two.
Byebye squidface!
And...the aura...
And...Riley's antiaging thing. He'll age normally now.
And...there go his mind theft powers.
Westside Children's Home
Sister Gertrude slumps in her chair, completely drained. "Lillith, Boogeyman, please care for Riley. Lillith, if the Boogeyman gives you any trouble, call for Sister Fatima. Boogeyman, you can return to haunting tomorrow as long as you stay within bounds."
The Boogeyman presumably got a good demonstration as to why it's best not to cross the line with Sister Gertrude.
"You look familiar. I wonder if you're related to the fella that lived in my closet when I was Lillith's age?" And after murmuring that, she falls asleep from exhaustion.
Facility - Eastside
The horror fights off the diseases, but still retreats back into the vent system with a hiss. Cutter should know these creatures still need to spend energy to fight off the various diseases effecting them.
He can hear more movements as the horror seems to attempt to escape elsewhere for now.

Carly gets around a corner and has to stop, struggling for breath. She can't believe she'd run as hard and as far as she had, after (metamorphosis) being so sick. She didn't know where the energy (food blood flesh) had come from. She doesn't know what she'll do when the blood covered doctor (father brother broodmate) catches up with her.
She doesn't know how she can be so afraid and yet so sure that she will survive.
Westside Children's Home
"Ah, right." Giving a nervous chuckle, the bogeyman slinks across the shadowy edges of the room over to Riley, keeping his distance from the unconscious Sister. He's in no hurry to make her mad, not after seeing her kick old-squidface to the curb and follow it up by calling him out on being a bogeyman.
"So, er, why don't you run along to your room and get some rest?" He says hopefully, trying to put one bony, surprisingly strong hand on Riley's shoulder. Needless to say, the bogeyman isn't exactly used to dealing with kids, preferring to just frighten the daylights out of them.
Westside Children's Home
Lillith nods, going over to where she hears the Boogeyman and attempting to take his other hand.
"Mhm! Don't worry Riley. Sister Gertrude chases all the bad things away." she turns her soulful, unseeing eyes up to the boogey and stares at him unafraid. Clearly she's decided that if Gertrude hasn't dealt with him, he must be nice.
"Mr. Boogey, can I have a glass of water on the way back to bed?"
Westside Children's Home
Eon stays outside until he hears the shooting. His body starts to shake and in front of his inner eye appear pictures of his recent event. The banch he just hol breaks and Eon keeps standing there frozen by the shock.
After a moment he heads back in arriving short after the revealing and banning of the eldritch evil. He hides behind a corner to listen to the szene there. His intressed is most likly for the boogiman.
Westside Children's Home
Riley looks down at his hands. He clutches at his hair, he looks underneath his shirt for the three claw marks from father face, and...
They're not there.
The aura, the everpresent voices, the muddled feeling in his head.
They're all gone.
Riley begins crying. Tears of joy. Laughing, too. The combination makes it hard to breath, but he doesn't care.
[Riverside - General]
A woman stands somewhere below the flying castle thing, peering upward at it. She's with Tenebras, if her full red and black combat armour is any indication. She raises one hand to the side of her helmeted head.
"Hey, Honey." A pause. "Yeah, I'm right under it. Mind swinging by Exbourne and talking to Ramiro? Thanks. Love you."
She takes off her helmet and shakes out her brown hair. Flora keeps an eye on the castle for a while, looking for anything of note.
[Exbourne Manor]
And at this point the coffin hunting group are returning. Durin looks far less pleased than he should, considering it was a success. Ah well, he'd might as well already be in a bad mood for the news they're going to get.
