Pancakes and cream with a dollop of jam?
Don't have any.
But thank you, now I want cream :smalltongue:

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Honey is a good substitute for maple syrup if you don't have any in the house.
(Which we never do because we never have pancakes.)

It probably is. It's just not a condiment that belongs on pancakes in my world.

By "it's nice", I mean that it's nice on pancakes. You should try it.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Honey or jam are my favourite things to put on pancakes, generally, but I had honey with my icecream last night and I already had the golden syrup out for putting on the lady's pancakes. So I went with that.
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
I think I like jam the most, followed by honey and maple syrup tied for second place.
But then again, I really don't eat that many pancakes, I only normally get them on Shrove Tuesday.

My first election. I feel so responsible!
And my tomorrow will probably be good. No idea what I'll be doing, probably reading the election results in the paper and then not mentioning them on the Forum.
Wait... Elction?! Friiiiick! Which one?! How do I vote?! CAN I vote?! Argh!

It was the Queensland state level election. And I've been watching the results on the news and I have to say ... There is no mind control citizen, go back to your fun.
And that's what I think about all this politics! :smalltongue:

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
I meant to say Queensland.
I keep being non-location specific because most of the people on this forum pronbably have no idea of the names of our states. Yet, I am able to remember over eighty percent of the American ones? It's unjust I tell you, unjust!
The actual reason is probably because I opened a kajillion tabs.
I probably shouldn't open more than one tab at once.
Edit: I wasn't too happy with the results, which won't be placed here for the obvious reasons. If you can really be bothered to find out, check the Internet. You don't have to, I don't know the names of any of the premiers of other states, so you don't have to either.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Oh, Queensland. Pfft, whatevers.
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Strangely enough, that's how I feel. Until a week before the election.
It was my first after all.

NSW, YEAH!
On instruments: I used to play the French Horn, and I still play the piano.
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Instruments? When did we start talking about instruments? But on the subject of instruments, I know rudimentary Piano and Guitar. And I should know some rudimentary Trumpet but could never coax any proper notes out. Actually, same for Flute, and those other instruments they make you learn at school that isn't part of a band.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Election was meh. First time voting, was nervous.. Afterwards, I was like, what the **** was I nervous about. xD So easy.
Anywho, has anyone seen The Hunger Games? I saw it yesterday, hadn't seen the trailer or nothin', neither had my friends. They just heard good things about it, same as me. So we were like, let's go see it. /shrugs
IT IS AN AMAZING MOVIE AND YOU SHOULD GO SEE IT! :D

[J/K, OF COURSE]

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Election Shmelection.
Guys, I'm selling these swords soon. If any Melbournites want to come hang out before that happens, bring some plastic bottles and we can play around a bit.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Currently doing a cataloging test. Ugh, MARC is hard but doable.
I finished 45 mins early.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Wow.. Last night was the best night I've had.. In -quite- a while. Also, the first day in a week that I was happy for the whole day. And no crying went on, whatsoever. :) I feel amazing.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Pancakes, bacon & maple syrup...
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
An excellent breakfast idea.
Provided you're not eating the pancakes and the bacon at the same time.
That's just weird!
But then, I do enjoy honey roasted ham...

I did want to go see it, but then I heard that it was being touted as the next Twilight, and that people were all "OH MAH GAAAAAWD finally a movie with a strong female lead character", and it made me want to hurl rocks at things.

I was initially sceptical about the combo, but once I'd had it, decided it was awesome.
I also enjoy the occasional shot of maple syrup in my coffee.

I can see it becoming the new Twilight in the sense that no-one really knew about it until hermit-like people you know hear the movie is coming out, and they've read the books a zillion times, so they say it'll be amazing.
I haven't even read the books. xD But it is a really good movie, honestly. It actually is good, unlike Twilight. :P

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
I shall reserve my judgement of such movies until I have seen them.
Given my track record, this means I may never have a judgement on the Hunger Games. :smalltongue:

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
If you live in or near Brisbane, I'm dragging you to see it Roc. xD

I am outside your dragging range! Bwahahahahahaaaa! I shall live in ignorance of the subtle nuances, light comedy and deep themes of the Hunger Games ... Forever! :smallwink:

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Okay then.. I shall make you pay.. For my flight, to get to you, so I can drag you there? Mwahaha? xD

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Well. A bad week becomes worse. One of my friends from uni died yesterday. I'm not really sure what to think now. :smallfrown:

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
That's terrible.
You have my sympathies.
