Anyway, you'll do fine, uni is both enlightening, and entertaining.
Second Year. The homestretch! Or mid-way point. Or something. :smalltongue:
Hope we both do really well! ^_^

Yes! *Highfive*
My course (Primary teaching) is a four year course, so I'm coming up on half way, which is scary, because it feels like yesterday that I was still trying to figure out where I should go for my first lecture...

Well, that was yesterday. I've got it all sorted out now, so that's something. And I'm also glad to see that I'm not the only one that is sick of the heat (though it hasn't been 40C here yet, thank God).

Mine isn't until the end of Feb, 27th, I think. This'll be my first year.

Yeah, I think most peoples starts around then. I must say, this summer course is less appealing when you have to get up early. :smallannoyed:

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
:smallsigh: I miss uni...
Though at church yesterday, a friend, Peregrine and I decided that I should go back to uni and do a geology degree and become a Geo-Archaeologist.
It's something I actually intend to look into.
Told my friend I'd dedicate my first piece of writing to him, for coming up with the idea in the first place.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
First week of Year 11 for me.
I have barely begun but I feel so dead already that I feel dead enough to be dead. >.<
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
I am embarrassed I had to ask Peregrine was Year 11 is... (the year system works differently in New Zealand!).
Having said that, the first couple of weeks of school was always horrible as I recall. It gets better

I am just happy it is the weekend. And simultaneously saddened, because I should be working if I don't wanna die when Monday rears its ugly head again. D:
Although, now I'm curious. How does it work in New Zealand? :smallconfused:

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Oooh, Year 11. What subjects are you doing?
And in other news, I went to the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular today. It's basically the Doctor Who Proms that have been done over in the UK. It was great.

English (Given), Maths, Visual Arts, Biology, Agriculture, Drama. Visual Arts, right now, is my only comfort. (no homework yet yaaaaayyyy!!)

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Yay! New phone! Now to figure out what the hell everything does.
And this time I must try not to loose it. Because I could hardly afford this one.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
I spent 6 hours bartending at my dads 50th birthday party tonight. I've never pulled a beer before, but by the end of the night, I was able to do 4 at once.
Woo? o.o

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Hey guys! I've created a Steam group specifically for Aussie Killing Floor players who hang out on GitP (and their friends). This way we can organise a few games in the near future.
I'll start sending you some invites around soon. If you don't get one, yell at me (or, you know, mention it here or on Steam).

Year 11 over here is Year 12 in NZ. The difference is I think that you start counting at Year 0 and get up to Year 12. NZ starts counting at Year 1 and goes to Year 13.
Just be grateful they're not still using the Standards/Forms system. That's the one I grew up with.
And now I've made myself feel old. Well done me.

Maybe I'll actually play (and learn) the game properly!

Breath. In and out. In and out. Take it one day at a time and you'll be fine
And remember, you have a big sister who is insanely jealous that you get to go back to uni and she's stuck job hunting :smalltongue:

Yes, you totally should.
Also, I think I posted a quick guide around here somewhere.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
I'll be sure to check out that guide. Meanwhile, do I get the award for most hilairously inappropriate TF2 killcam ever?

Oh hey, I wanted to go to that, but it had sold out. My girlfriend and two of her friends got tickets way early though, so they went. Met the composer afterwards with them when they got autographs. Sounds like it was pretty cool (:

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
I had a funny old day, in the morning I was really grumpy, at lunch I was really happy* and in the afternoon I was grumpy again. Then, over dinner I discovered that of the people I was eating with, I was the only one that hadn't had a really crap childhood.
So yeah, that's left me feeling kind of contemplative (that and the fact that I need to plan when I'm going to do all the work that I have to do for uni).
What was every one else's Wednesday like?
*It also turns out that putting 1/4 of a shaker of pepper into someone's water bottle leaves them unable to taste anything else for two hours.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
So, anyone up for some Killing Floor soon?

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
So, I lost my recently-acquired job, because I had to call the police on the boss, my housemate, when he hit his wife. Also had to move house, but that was happening anyway.
Anybody got 300 bucks a week i can borrow? XP

Oh hey, the first 4 are what I did (well, except we had Visual Communication and Studio Arts, of which I did both). The other one I did was Chemistry. By year 12, there were only 3 of us in that class... And one of those was an utter ditz :smallsigh:

Ouch :smallfrown: that sucks...
Unfortunately, I haven't got a job myself at the moment, so no money forthcoming... I do have a job interview tomorrow though...
