Nowhere is Woolloomooloo an acceptable place name.
Woolloomooloo is an awesome place name!

Be that as it may, it's still not an acceptable place name.
My tongue keeps tripping over it.

Isn't that more of a Nee-nee-nee? Or is that the healing?
I can't remember, I haven't played that game in ages.

I once had a character take a door. Not the old adamantine door thing or anything, just a wooden door. We also made a cart out of dragon bones.

I used to live in Tallangatta, not far from Wodonga and Corryong and just down the road from Tangambalanga and Yackandandah.
(Also, Tallangatta is pronounced "tal-ANG-ga-TA", not "TAL-ang-GATTA")

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Peregrine has a job!
Granted, it doesn't start til next term (which is roughly five weeks away, so we're told), but he has a job! Either 0.6 part time, or full time (likely full time, so he's told). At the school he did some relief at on Thursday, the same one who told him they wouldn't have anything this year, but probably next year - he got called in on Thursday after doing his relief and was told that one of the maths teachers wanted to drop to part time/take six months leave. He rang on Friday to get confirmation and was told that yes, the job is his for next term. And again, will likely lead to a more permanent role next year when they amalgamate with another school.
Very excited... now we just have to get enough money from somewhere to get us through the next five weeks. Though he hasn't been paid for Thursday's work yet and he's going to be back there tomorrow for more relief.
Maybe we'll be able to stop borrowing money from my mother-in-law! (had to do that this week to pay the rent :smallfrown:)

I...May have saw you around? I'm not sure. There were a few TF2 costumes about. If you saw the group of three cats on Saturday, you saw me (:

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Wow. We just had an earthquake. Literally the first one I've ever experienced.
I actually thought someone had the washing machine on.
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
An earthquake?
Whereabouts was it?
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
That would be the one.
I really need to keep better track of who lives in which state...
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
And I didn't notice a thing.
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Well, like I said, I assumed it was the washing machine making the house shake as it normally does.
It made my bed move though. Which is sadly the only action it's seen in over a year :smalltongue:

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Jeez, nice headline. Way to give a girl a heart attack.
Read the bit about the 6.5 in New Zealand and just about freaked out - fortunately, it was the North Island I don't care about them :smalltongue: Sounds like it didn't do much anyway - though I was amused at the comment in the article about one woman mentioning her kid didn't notice the quake because they were doing an earthquake drill at the time!

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Well, the HSC has been a delightful experience so far, inasmuch as too much work can be considered 'delightful'. Still, I'm slowly procrastinating my way through the workload, and it's only another 4 months.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
So, exhibited our projects last night. My final grade is 95%!
I ended up top of the class! And I received an award at the exhibition. "Award for the most outstanding achievement". Wow...the effort really paid off! I'm really proud of myself.
I even won a ZBrush license and an XBox 360! :smalleek::smallbiggrin:
The whole class did great. I think everyone had a really good final project on exhibition. :smallamused:
Anyone who wants to have a look (and is around Melbourne), my project will be on display until the 29th of June at Victoria University (300 Flinders St, Level 17). I think the floor's open from 10am-5pm weekdays (I'll be there myself tomorrow). :smallwink:

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Congratulations! That's an amazing achievement.
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Congratulations! *hugs Skep* that's fantastic! I'm so proud of you.
Elemental - one of your dragons is a chicken.
(I don't know why I feel that's worthy of note. It just is.)
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Congratulations Skep! Very well done!
Hmm, until the 29th, you say...?

Thanks heaps everyone! I'm so happy with how it all turned out. ^_^
And yep, until the 29th. I'm in there tomorrow, but I might show up another day or two, depends. :smalltongue:
Hm, it might be open on weekends... Not sure.

Yes. It is a chicken.
One of the rarest things in the game, and I still haven't managed to get Golden Wyvern or a Nebula Dragon. Why?!
In other news, apple juice is good for a sore throat. Unfortunately, not sure if that's just because it's a cool refreshing beverage...

Damn you Moreta...
I clicked on the Bookfession in your signature, and now I'm stuck reading the whole lot.
Which reminds me... I need to set time aside to read...

You're welcome  It's like TV Tropes, it'll ruin your life.
And blame the friend who got me reading them in the first place...
I should go back and check the site again, there are probably hundreds of new ones.
