Oh don't get me wrong, I love the suffering as well!

Lord English's death will be many things. Stupid, perhaps. Unexpected, probably. Strange, certainly. But boring? Not a chance.
It's called Green Eggs and Ham, and it's a children's book, actually.
What kind of horrible childhood did you have that you don't know about Green Eggs and Ham?
You poor thing...
A Childhood That Holds All My Pity. All Of It.
meant to type Karkat but came out Kanaya.
Sigh, just realized I typed 8 letter h when I did the haha thing in the earlier post. Unintentionally.
Homestuck update.
Hussie trolls his fanbase, Vriska manages some character development without actually learning anything, and Tavros continues to be Tavros and makes me feel sorry for him.
Typical, really.
I wouldnt call it character development since this stuff happened already.
This is what i mean by Vriskas actions speaking louder then her words and her squandering her redemption away.
She says sorry, yet her actions speak the aame cruelty and malice as before. When will she just finaly stop torturing Tavros?
Im not saying that she isnt redeemable, but I dont think even she cares about that.
And goddamit vriska- your arc is over! Stay dead!
Question: Did Terezi ever actually tell Vriska about the consequences of her intended duel with Noir? When I read the coin toss sequence, it felt like Vriska believed it was entirely personal, a new iteration of an ancient rivalry. Vriska wanted to save her teammates, not kill them. She's bull-headed and self-assured enough that it may not have done any good, but in Terezi's vision it looked like Vriska had no clue what was happening when Noir fled the field, like this outcome had never proposed to her.
I guess we will never know.
Yes, while the game was glitching IIR she tried to persuade Vriska not to go, saying that he would just follow her sugary fairy trail back to the asteroid. Vriska dismissed this because she felt confident that she could stop Jack, not realising that he could teleport away without needing to fight her at all. Then the coin showdown happened.
Oh, then that makes her even more abhorrent.
How? She didn't have her vision until after the coin toss, did she?
That wasn't the point; the point is she's given a reason that what she's doing is endangering the others, and she can't protect all of them. That with everything else she has ignored other options. This is simply her biggest flaw, taking everything on by herself, at the unrequested behest of others. She's like another annoying little blue fairy that helps without prompting. One could make a connection between her and Aranea, that they both have a tendency to bring things around to themselves (both being metafictional commentaries on mary sues).
In summation:
Its also a somewhat a reversal since she can't do anything on her own. Nothing she tries to fix or change actualy gets fixed or changed. Things only get worse. Even if she killed Jack (Highly unlikely), she would be floating in space for the rest of eternity.
Also on the comic:If only you wherent a weenie Tavros. If only. :smallsigh:
I've never seen a better reason for Tavros to have a bloodswap.
And yes, Terezi did have her vision before the flip, "1 H4VE S33N 1T 1N MY M1ND'S 3Y3"
Mulling around various homestuck related sites has brought up some fascinating theories about what's going to be happening in this comic in the near and far future. People's ability to wild mass guess is amazing.
For example, there's already some pretty in depth predictions about each of the Alpha Kids' worlds, including order arrived, names of planet, and features. Lord English's origins are making me afraid for what's to come. Gamzee's cod tier has some crazy implications too, man oh man. When I gethome from work, I'm going to try and find some of that again.
Vriska... I freakin' LOVE that character.
All the same, she's evil as hell. Chaotic at best, and hard on the few who try to be her friends. She's responsible for so much horrible stuff, and thoroughly frustrates the progress of the good guys.
And yet, she's a sympathetic and well-written character that's easy to empathize with. In her own weird way, she's tried to help Tavros by making him stronger. (Not seeing that in her hubris she's only weakened him.) In her own weird way, she wanted to take down Jack and save everything. (Not seeing that in her recklessness she'd sacrifice far more than she saved.)
Tavros, Tavros had my sympathy at first as a woobie, but the dude just. Will. Not. Muster. The. Courage. He won't succeed, because his self-doubt stops him cold. He KNOWS this, and cannot change it. Not on the smallest level.
So FRUSTRATING!
Those two actually kind of deserve each other, in their weird way. They frustrate the hell out of each other, and maybe eventually they'll get to the point where they properly keep each other in check like they need to.

The preivious message was brought to you by PsychoticEngineer.
Was that just in character? If not its not surprising. Ive seen so many excuses for Vriska that its just insane.
Thing is, I think the problem with Tavros is that:
A: He doesn't value himself. Dude. You died confronting the bitch that you hate (As I can tell, his parts hated Vriskas parts), Im not sure how that counts as fake courage when that was a mega ballsy thing to do.
B: Wrong circumstances. He needs a gentle push. Jade was too gentle and Vriska pushed him off a cliff and generally crippled him physically and emotionally for life. The summoner was ballsy enough to rebel against the whole of the empire. I would like to think he was equaly as kind and emotional, yet appeared in the right circumstances.
Part of the issue is that Vriska doesn't respect Terezi's mind powers, and never really has. Vriska believed that the vast amount of luck that she had access to would be more than sufficient to overcome Terezi's "what people would do" knowledge.
Vriska was wrong, because she is often wrong. But while it was not one of her stellar moments, it was not surprising. Terezi said as much when she was talking to Aranea. By the time they got to that conversation, there weren't any options left. There was never going to be a time when Vriska believed Terezi's warnings over Vriska's certainty in her own capabilities, because she viewed Terezi as being jealous and a rival.
Actually yes it was. That was my psychopathic serial-killing succuB- talking about how just because someone murders shmucks on a regular basis, doesn't mean it's the only thing about them.
She for example likes to repair broken machines, flirt around and more, go for long walks in the desert, mess around with her on-again off-again matespirit, giggle like a psychopath, eat meat, drink coffee, and just generally have fun.
Basically you'd think she was a creepy but pretty nice person if you met her and didn't know about the whole "kills people on a regular basis" thing, and she's saying that it's probably the same with vriska. if we met her before we knew about everything she did, we would probably have a different opinion on her. She likes to roleplay, she hordes treasure, she pines after some looser in a wheelchair, she pretends to be a pirate, she loves red shoes, she likes to show off just how awesome she is, she has a wicked awesome set of dice, she speaks her mind, she does what she believes is necessary, she wants to be just like her mother, she’s more likely then not a punk rocker, etc.
Problem is people just think “ZOMG SHE KILLD PPL!” (which is totally normal in troll culture) and instantly slap a “Devil witch!” label on her.
Im not sure if your joking or not, if yes: Hats off to you.
