"Oh reallly? And what would it take for you to tell me where your treasure is, hmmm?" :smallamused:
Reinholdt scoots closer.
But you saw her bury it!

"I guess 'shadow constructs' is the nerdy term for it. She could, move 'em around, make stuff out of 'em." He actually doesn't know much about her shadow powers beyond that.
Their conversation is rather suddenly cut off. Perhaps he hung up. Perhaps he hit a dead spot in the cell service. Perhaps something else occurred.
Whatever happened, Sevet is left holding a receiver with only the dull hum of a dial tone on the other end.
Sevet having very little to say to a dial tone hangs up to go retrieve his package. Which he promptly does. So yeah...
Just outside the BDD
He will find the building easily enough, and the East side, and there is a large metal object protruding from the roof right where a savvy engineer would place a climate control unit.... but there is no obvious way up to the roof. Blasted winged creatures forgetting that nature hasn't endowed everyone with flight.
"Mmm... well, I'm always glad to hear about satisfied customers."
Reinholdt drinks rum! It's totally what he's talking about!
"Hah. Fer service as good as yers, I'm surprised ye don't 'ave more." :smalltongue:
Though Ermine is liable to shoot any additional "customers" in the face. <.<
"Oh? Are you suggesting something?" Reinholdt says, waggling his eyebrows.
Inspector Thenadier limps inside. The man has grey hair arranged in a matching mutton chops and ponytail. He limps inside and glances about for the most ordinary looking person inside. Who does he see?
There may be some thoroughly unimportant NPCs who look more normal than he does, but there's a blond-haired, average looking young man listening to some of Reinholdt's and Ermine's conversation out of boredom.
Thenadier sits in a dark corner and looks over to view the various exits. His eyes shift over the NPC's. He looks over the normal looking NPC's and the one PC. Unfortunately Inspector Thenadier wouldn't know the difference and views each person to look for the smallest detail that would show magic. From odd eyes to fancy weapons. Does any of these people have any irregular items, features, or clothes?
Raril was here, asleep in a comfy looking chair by the fire. The drow had his hat pulled down over his eyes, blocking out what light there was in the bar. A half empty bottle of mushroom wine and glass sat on a small table next to the chair. He was snoring gently, his chest rising and falling in a regular, sleepy rythm.
I can't really speak for what NPCs may be present, but the blonde-haired man is a little on the scrawny side and is wearing clean, tailored clothes. That might make him stand out among the seedier clientele.
Thenadier sees Raril. No. This "Reynard" would not be a dark elf. Stands out too much. Hmm... Thenadier thinks. He then looks around and continues looking for details on any of the less interesting looking male patrons.Hmm...That one man isn't as dirty as the others. Hmm... A small robotic cockroach is placed on the floor by Thenadier. The Inspector masks the motion by sneezing quietly. The roach is tiny and scrambles under the chair or stool the man sits under. Does the tiny roach succeed without being noticed? :smallconfused:
The average looking man notices that Thenadier is just standing by the entrance and looking around. But because he's focusing on the inspector, he doesn't notice the roach.
The cockroach is hidden in shadow and begins to take pictures of the man Thenadier believes to be Reynard. The roach is also recording whatever the man says. The cockroach is silent and hidden.
The Inspector Thenadier limps to a chair next to the fire. Thenadier is sure to not make eye contact with the man Thenadier believes to be Reynard. The Inspector fakes shivering and warms his hands. Inspector Thenadier is doing his best to seem un-noticeable.
Was the roach seen? Highly unlikely, since it was silent and hidden, but perhaps the man is very, very perceptive.
Also in the bar is a plain-looking man with brown hair and eyes, of indeterminate age. He's wearing a cheap and shabby t-shirt and equally cheap jeans. Nothing obvious points towards his nature as a glabrezu demon polymorphed into human form to better blend in.
He is currently watching Thenadier and the average-looking man.
"Yar..."
Ermine twitches her tail and grins wickedly.
"Oh, no. I be keepin' ye all to meself."
For reference to others in the den, the pirate is a young woman with blond hair and moderately revealing "pirate-y" clothes. In place of normal ears she has little weasely ones and she also has a long and thin tail, her clothes tailored to accommodate it. Oh yes, and one mustn't forget the feathered and floofy pirate hat perched on her head at a jaunty angle.
Reinholdt is described in the spoiler. Because it is large and copy-pasted.
SpoilerMerely a man. A really, really amazing man. Screw Jazirian, Harth, Fanboy, even... Wait. He's probably, in fact, the most attractive humanoid to have ever walked the universes, in an over-hyped, inhuman, Stephenie Meyer described, kinda way. Take Amour’s intrigue (without the weird loner, and lover, issues), Nomlas’ boldness (without the uncouth idiocy, and ignoring the occasional bouts of OMG-cowardice), Vespe’s flair (without the moral weakness – don’t try and deny it), Butler’s sexiness (without the overtones of rank easiness), Fanboy’s gothic impressiveness (without the tendency to get on your nerves), and everyone else good looking you can think of’s attractiveness (without that ugly stench of mortality). He has slightly pointed ears, pale, almost luminous skin, big, red-pink eyes, lacking pupils, and a wiry, muscular physique, that screams effortlessness. He's flaming hawt. Of course, anyone who was in the Waves plot might recognize the form of Prince Kaelaroth Maschin of Magtok-Armennia.
He's wearing jeans, boots, a white shimmering scarf, a furry vest, a leather jacket on top of that, and a blue shirt underneath, largely chosen as his dress of choice to protect against unexpected zombie attacks. A pretty, if nondescript necklace hangs around his neck. Attached to his belt is a wicked looking dragon tooth knife, ammo for his rifle, and a pouch holding the lock pick set he wants people to find when they search him, the secret set hidden in his boots. Slung over his back is his ever present sniper rifle. Painted on the butt of the rifle is an elder sign symbol.
"Heh. Pirates aren't too good at sharing, are they?" :smalltongue:
"We ain't known fer it, no."
Ermine's ears twitch.
"More o' a... plunderin' an' stealin' an' rapin' reputation we got."
Though sometimes its heavily romanticized. :smallconfused:
"Oh. Oh yeah... I always sort of gloss over that last one."
He pauses and frowns a bit.
"You never... you know..." Confidence is nothing in the face of a really touchy subject!
Reynard soon grows bored watching Thenadier. He looks over at the disguised-demon, dismisses him as another boring person, and goes back to lazily listening in to Reinholdt and Ermine.
The roach continues taking pictures.
After five minutes the cockroach will do something called aura identification. Each person has one, A persons aura is personal and that means that it is possible to find someone by their aura. Does the roach discover Reynards aura? If the man is Reynard?
Thenadier glares at the back of the pirates heads. How he wanted to arrest those obvious criminals....However he had a mission. The Inspector sits by the fire and waits for the roach to identify the mans aura. He orders a fancy wine and begins sipping.
Meanwhile...
At this point, a tall, slender yet curvaceous, white-haired young woman walks into the bar.
Unlike the usual Erins who hang around town, though, this one happens to phase through the door instead of opening it, and has solid red eyes...
...and Arina heads in the direction of Reynard's table.
The roach wouldn't have Reynard's aura to compare it to this man's. His aura, however, is oddly two dimensional and unmoving, as if some metaphysical artist had quickly painted it onto the man.
He looks up and chuckles when Arina approaches. I was just wondering if you had something better to do than come.
