All Work and no play makesJackGrills a dull boy?

Yeah, I think it's just those five.
The plan was to have Night Jewel take everypony to the library to get the last magical effects dispelled, then she'd take everypony to the train station, and they'd go to Manehatten from there. I think - this is a guess on my part, I'm a little confused too - that Gear is simply going along as well to see her boys off.
I'm fine with both skipping ahead, and a Foxglove musical montage.
The musical montage will come tommorow.
I need to write an "A whole new world" parody, and this requires not being bluh.
"I eighty seventh the skipping of time."
I'm in for a bit of time-skipping. I'm afraid my own time got skipped a bit due to a power outage, so I apologize for the delay. This sounds like it'll be fun.
Alright, I think I've determined exactly where all my ponies are going.
Sunny and Beautiful Nightmare are basically staying right where they are.
Soft and Hullabaloo are moving to Ponyville.
Mystic is moving to the Everfree forest for a variety of reasons (No annoying family visits, more space/food for her zerg-y minions, ETC.). She'll be back in town every couple of weeks to visit her friends, and have extended dates/makeouts with her significant others.
Smoothie, for a variety of reasons, I basically can't reconcile even being on this plane. I'm not sure where she's going, but she's basically leaving. Not quite forever, she still cares about her friends and is going to visit them when she can, but she's basically moving somewhere she feels she can actually make her talent useful, rather than squandering it. I basically intended something like this for her from the beginning, it's just certain circumstances are bringing it to the climax faster than I originally was going to have it.
Don't worry, she won't just up and leave, she'll give everypony a chance to say goodbye like Soft.
Also, I believe Lycan was interested in the library.
Heh...
Yeah, it's a bit of a confession time; I haven't been pestering folks to advance the day for two main reasons:
1) I was in Japan, and wasn't really thinking about pseudo-moderating this RP much.
2) People seemed to be having fun and nopony was complaining.
Now, I don't expect we'll be having days this long again for quite some time. I think what happened here was that we got two-three major plot events happening at the same time, and they all just ran together into one monster day of doom. While that isn't necessarily bad, it does really make ongoing character plots come to a halt. Like, Sandy still wants to learn weather magic at some point, and he won't really get that chance until the day ends. Or the whole bit with Fox Trot, Icy, and Quick Step, that won't progress until the day ends either. While I've been against this in the past, I'm wondering if we should impose a soft limit on days. Namely, after a set amount of time, don't introduce new mini-plots, scenes, whatever, unless you want to stick them in the next day and get a head start on that.
Thoughts? Alternate solutions? Do you think this current format is okay?
I been actually reluctant to introduce Icy's own personal subplot precisely because of time issues on my end. (Which is why you might notice how we skipped over a lot of stuff before.)
As it is though, it works... after a fashion. I would think that such big ponderous scenes should be probably planned out in advance. If only to know who's who and what is our goal for that scene. Might speed things up a little.
Alternatively, pseudo-DM-ing like what we do in FwM would work. (One player usually plays the role of DM for an arc, and controls any necessary NPCs to move that plot forward. See: Benson and vampony, Orzel with Big Bruce/Sweet Victory.)
Another issue I have is clogged scenes, and by that I mean, slowly, less than a snail's pace. Like everything that is going on in Greif's cafe right now. Its admittedly frustrating for me because I want to do a little more with my characters there instead of letting them rot in irritating eye twitch inducing limbo.
I kinda just want to toss that scene to the time bubble thread right now and free up my characters.
Ah, that's a tough one, isn't it? Hmmm.... I got nothing. I try my best, but... My best isn't all that good, I admit.
