Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
[Front Door]
Woohoo! Somebody's knocking on the door! Yeah! That calls for a fielding of the door! By none other than the bored Hatteress!
She trudges up to the door, muttering something about keys and forgetting keys and displacing nuclear waste and future plans before throwing it open and staring at the one who dared rap-tap-tap on AMEN's door at such an opportune moment.
"Yeah? What do you want?"
Such a curt girl! A curt, cute, nerdy girl!
((I'm deadtiming now, so if anyone wants to handle this while I'm offline, feel free to do so and skip my character's posting turns indefinitely.))
-------
[Main Room]
Swallow the cake whole? Now who would do such a horrible thing.
Clarissa begins to whistle innocently, coincidentally. She's got not an idea as to explain why, however. >.<
The Hatteress cannot see Maggy's smirk because of the whole "being busy getting a cheap migraine," uh, playing with the riveting Virtual Boy. The Hatteress is not occupied with the door. Clarissa notes the smirk and turns away from him immediately as her reaction, fearful that he's basically on to her somehow. She swallows hard. This is not good. This calls for popping the cap off her beer with a precise flick of her thumb and chugging about half of the thing right then and there.
Like that's going to help her any in the long run.

BioLab
Megan nods.
"Yep. I made the camera and computer system she has in her dimension, plus I'm dating one of her friends."

Seltz steps up to the pair two, moving away from a workstation "how we make them? we grow them. they are Genetically engineered beings, based off various creatures. the system is based off the old EDENcorp drones, but I refined the system to a point where can efficiently grow any being in our database to full maturity in a matter of months, of course if we have a fitting facility to do so." the scientist pauses for breath

Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!

"Hmm. Small world." Them knowing Karyana complicated things more than she'd like. Oh well. It's just another thing to work around.
"Ok. So I think I've got a clear idea on the project. What about all this may I ask is time sensitive?" They clearly needed an immediate response about something!

Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
[Cyrus' Room --> Halls]
Cyrus keeps a beacon in here for emergencies. With the constant moving of rooms, this beacon at least allows him to track his own room so he doesn't telefrag himself when trying to get in.
Now is one of those times. A burst of Hellfire explodes into the room, and is probably heard within the halls too. As he exits, he reactivates the wards on his door and proceeds to exit. What? The previous sentence is redundant? Maybe he exits multiple times! Did you think of that? :smalltongue:
Anyone could run into him.

Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
BioLab
"It's time sensitive because the chemicals we have to do it go bad in a couple days and it'll take a while to get more. So we need to start it within the next couple days or we'll have to wait a week or two."

Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
Door
Marciano waves. His hands are gloved and full of expensive rings. His face is still rather ugly, with that one large mole. His eyes are a dirty, yellowish color. Why 'ello! Me names Le Baron De Marci! Or Marciano if ya' wish. His cockney accent is somewhat annoying. I changed me title. When I became a bloody millionaire! Haha! He laughs a little. His pockets bulge with various coins and gems. His royal blue petticoat shines in the sun. I wish t' join th' place. Seems t' me, it would be a good place t' get meself some more work. I came 'ere 'bout a week ago, sadly, I wasn't allowed in. Though tha' was before I required me wealth....May I come in M'lady? It's ratha 'ot as 'ell out there.

Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
[Halls]
Karyana, having returned to her room by way of going back to her dimension and taking the portal affixed to the wall, is currently (cautiously, as she's not sure if it's still lethal) going towards the main room, with a drow-eyed, shark-toothed, merseal in a large bubble of saltwater, as well as a horse-sized caniform creature with six legs, and a tripart mouth, following her.
It is entirely possible that this group encounters Cyrus.

BioLab
"Ah. Yes. Go ahead and get started. I'm curious about how it turns out, so send a report to me and Magtok when the results are in." Ilpholin says.
"Now, is there anything else or should that cover it for now?"
-
Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
BioLab
"That should be good for now. I'll send you a memo when the Robo-panther creation system is online and functional."
She extended a hand for Ilpholin to shake.
"It was good talking to you, Ilpholin. You'll be the best thing to happen to AMEN in a long time."
-
Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
Seltz nods "if you ever have need of a standing army...I have some plans at the ready. all I need are funds"
-
Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
BioLab
"Thank you. I look forward to improving it."
Ilpholin does not shake the hand, but rather bows to the both of them. Nothing against her. Just old paranoid habits, I'm afraid.
She was just about to leave too, when Seltz speaks up.
"Oh? What do you mean?"
This seems like something fairly important to know about!
-
Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
BioLab
Megan glared at Seltz.
"Seltz, I'm sure if Ilpholin wants an army she'd want robots which are easier to control than living beings."
-
Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
Setz frowns "genetically implemented obedience, Meg. plus, the turn around time for a basic combat Drone is 8 hours. granted their life expectancy is about a week, but who cares anyway...basically Ilpholin , I can create, with the proper equipment, a trained standing army in a matter of days"
-
Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
BioLab
Ilpholin glances between the two.
"And this standing army has a life expectancy of a week? How much equipment are we talking?"
Megan was probably referring to the panther bots in her retort.

"several growing vats, weapons and armour. the more soldiers you want , the more I need. if I incubate them for 24 hours I can even get a 3 month lifespan out of most. the longer they incubate, the longer they live ,and the better trained they are"
-
Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
BioLab
"Yes, well, with robots they last longer and you wouldn't even need to outfit them, plus you don't have to go to the trouble of implanting obedience in them." Megan inputed.
She was a hardcore robotics fan.

Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
BioLab
"I don't believe in putting my eggs in one basket." Ilpholin says to help finalize that particular argument.
"I'm not ready to invest a lot of funds into a standing army with an expiration date, particularly when we don't have the room for them at this time. Nor do I particularly want to draw undue attention to ourselves. So, rather, for now, I'll order a single squad with a long incubation time to make them last. In the future, we'll look at expanding that program should we have need of it. In the meantime, I'd also like the panther bot assembly line worked on." A little of this, a little of that. Variety helps!
"I'll work on getting you the funds as soon as is feasible."
-
Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
Seltz smiles, nodding "I can get to work on an elite quad right away ma'am. I'll have 6 units ready by the end of the week."
-
Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
BioLab
"I won't need funding. I get all my materials for my robots thanks to Karyana. It was payment for the job I did for her."
"As for the Robo-panther factory, I will get right on it. I'll try to balance its creation along with my V.D.S. Project."
She opened her laptop and began designing.
"It was nice meeting you but now I need to get to work."
-
Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
BioLab
"Sounds delightful. I'll leave you to it then. It was a pleasure meeting you both." Ilpholin says, giving another bow before this time actually turning to leave.
"I need to talk to you in my room Moff." She says as she heads out.

BioLab >> Ilph's Room
Srs!Moff follows Ilpholin to her room. Looking all srs and stuff. :smalltongue:

Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
BioLab >> Ilph's Room
Ilpholin gives a quick wave at the party that's barely happening and travels through the halls. She pauses briefly upon seeing a painting of some naked guy washing up to shore.
How...
She doesn't want to know. She continues into her room and closes the door behind the two, locking it and turning on the various anti-spying things she has.
"We should be fine now."
-
Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
BioLab
Megan sighed as Ilpholin left. She was just going to make devices that would do the same thing she did for every Robo-Panther.
"Seltz, I can't believe you'd suggest such a thing to Ilpholin. Suggesting something that could ruin the chance that I had with the Robo-Panthers...how could you?":smallfrown:

Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!

Greg looks for the Moff who gave him a mission. I'm sure there are plenty of Moffs at the party, but, of course, not the one he wants.

Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
Ilph's Room
Srs!Moff shapeshifts, revealing himself to be Darcy Brightember in disguise. Of course since Ilpholin already knew, and the room is spy-proof, the reveal is only to people beyond the fourth wall. It's just as well Ilpholin doesn't know you lot have found a way to watch her when she thinks she's safe, or she'd seduce you to death! :smallfurious::smalltongue:
"I thought you were dead. Ilphy, what happened to you?" Darcy asks. :smallfrown:

Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
Ilph's Room
"Lolth blessed me during the night and such." Ilpholin says hurriedly.
"I... I thought I was dead too..." She admits, her lip starting to tremble a bit as her walls start caving in.
-
Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
Ilph's Room
"It's okay. You're safe now," Darcy says, pulling her friend into a hug. Even though being the head of AMEN is a long way from "safe". Just ask Gordon. "It's okay. I'll take care of you."
-
Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
Ilph's Room
"I was so scared Darcy.... I thought... I just..."
Ilpholin breaks down and sobs directly into Darcy's shoulder as she buries her head there, clinging to Darcy in the hug.

Re: [Nexus] AMEN XLIII: Ilphocracy!
[Main Room]
The henchmen return from Outside shortly after the Moffs! Many of them are exuberant and happy about the change in leadership, and get right to partying. But some of the minions look a little uncertain and mill about. Pink is practically scowling, and she has her clipboard out. The henchwoman looks around, searching for Ilpholin, but doesn't find her so decides to wait near the party for their new leader. She has some things to clear up with her.
