[Headquarters]
"Yep, I need to drain mana from those places to start up the ship again and I'm paying you to escort me and protect me while i drain the mana." The goblin explains. "It should be pretty easy right?"
Surt might be able to enter this scene if he so wish considering the goblin in the power armor seem to have a mission for NO.

Re: [Nexus] NO XIII: Do Clockwork Penguins Dream of Mechanical Fish?
[Headquarters]
Assuming the door is not locked and Surt overheard the mission he will go to headquarters from main room. He proceeds to the guy in power armor.
"Hey, if I heard correctly sir, you need someone for a mission? An escort mission?" I mean aren't escort missions just the same in essence as delivery missions, except the parcel is alive?

Thecla is always in favor of belly rubs, she's in heaven when she gets hers and it shows in her actions. Her middle remains still for the belly rubs, but her tail is wagging back and forth against the ground and her feet are waving in the air.

"Right. That sounds easy as pie. So we should tell the boss now?" Kuko asks, his feather tail wagging with anticipation.

[Headquarters Main Room] No idea why we were using that tag.
"That's not necessary. I am second in command after all." More or less at least. Out of two other individuals, but he's the highest ranking here.
Kirk, a drow elf in a snazzy suit to keep the description short, looks Surt over. "New guy, eh? I suppose this'll be a good opportunity for you. You'll be accompanying Jallyn wherever she needs to go and keeping her safe. You'll be working with Jakus and Kuko." He indicates first the goblin, then the half ogre and minnish. "Unless either of them has a good reason for not going?" He turns to the two more senior NO members.

Re: [Nexus] NO XIII: Do Clockwork Penguins Dream of Mechanical Fish?
Hey looks like Surt has his first job and it sounds normal, which in his in books is a good thing. This will be his first time in a group as well but that won't be a problem. "Well, in any case, I'm ready to go anytime." Surt is not carrying any weapons at the moment so someone may question his readiness but if asked he'll show it.

Jallyn inspects the newcomer and nods thoughtfully, "Great! Let me get some stuff from The Super Griffin and we'll set off!" She then runs off just to return a moment later, looking slightly winded. "I forgot, I need you to carry all my stuff too!"
Providing the group agrees to carry everything the goblin needs they will set off to the outside thread.

Senior is a pretty relative here. "No sir," Kuko says, standing at attention. He'd been speaking to a second officer flippantly this whole time. He needed to make up for that fast. It's not like he was going to refuse, he needed to do a job and get off probation. He was also the most useful in the situation, with his ability to lighten the load.

"I can carry the heavier equipment. Probably you and kuko, too. If I'm right, this is going to involve a lot of hiking, and you two have pretty short legs." which would make for much tiredness, and they need to be prepared for whatever.
Jakus will aid Jallyn with the heavy lifting, getting a large chest from his room with a pair of straps on it like a backpack, which he'll pack everything into. Then, when he starts walking in earnest, he'll put Kuko and Jallyn on top of the chest, so that as they sit, they'll be looking out over Jakus' shoulders. Unless whatever Jallyn wanted to bring weighed more than a thousand pounds, Jakus shouldn't have much trouble carrying everything here.

Well that sounds easy enough. Maybe you should give it to one of the newbies. Caroline says, confidently.

Obviously, the girl accepts Bianca's help. After all, who would deny the joining of a new obviously-good party member who knows her way around this evil castle, even if they don't know that this evil castle is actually a trapped evil castle, and they've been here trapped under some sort of spell that makes them blind to all the going-ons around here?
"His girlfriend?" This, however, adds something new to the equation. "She's probably just a villainous as he is. Probably has a name like Mary Louise, too. Those names are always even more villainous than the man." (Which is not true, of course. Personally, I don't know any Mary Louises, but I assume that they're perfectly fine gals.)
"What should I know about them?" asks the 14-year old girl. "Do they have any weaknesses, like tinfoil or kryptonite or Hydrogen-3 or Dihydrogen Monoxide or something like that?"
Oh, she's much worse than him. He's the brawn, she's the brains, sort of. And her name is Caroline. But she's the healing one. So if we don't take her out first, she'll just continue to heal the both of them.
Bianca thinks for a moment. Not sure about any weaknesses though.

"Hm. Well, shoot. They usually have weaknesses." Shanaya seems to think for a while. Take out the healer, first...
She has an idea! "Maybe we can synchronize our attacks. If they're such a vile partnership, they probably have some dual-type attacks, as well. Which means that we'll need to do the same to defeat them."
"I can become super-strong for fourteen-and-a-half seconds, once per every so often. I also know some magic, some swordfighting, and some sparkly mind-crushing stuff. What can you do?"

"I guess we can help a bit if we stumble across any looking for the good treasure or something." Don't count on any serious looking though. Sounds like another one of those Magtok capturing quests. Not even worth the sandwich.

Hey! Surt is 6 feet tall! Then again Jakus is 9 feet tall so Surt is short compared to him. "I can carry things, even if they are heavy. The armor that I wear is at least 50 kg. Just tell me what you want me to carry and I'll get to it."

"Alright then. You can either report back to me or Dipsnig when you're finished or if anything comes up." Kirk says since it's clear they can handle themselves from here on out.

Swordfighting aaand.... Bianca takes a step back and to the left, directly onto a shadow. This.
She disappears into the shadow, and a moment later, reappears directly in front of Shanaya, out of the girl's shadow, a dagger in her hand, and possibly at the younger girl's throat. What do you think? again with the evil smile.

Shanaya's eyes go wide, as Bianca comes out of her shadow with a knife at her throat. Her eyebrows also rise, a lot.
"Wow, that's so cool!" she exclaims, a smile widening on her face. "It looks kinda hard, though, like it might waste a lot of MP or something."
Shanaya's hand goes up, in order to push Bianca's arm away from the general direction of the young teen's throat.
"I wonder, though. How will we be able to synchronize our attacks? I mean, a dual technique or something."

Re: [Nexus] NO XIII: Do Clockwork Penguins Dream of Mechanical Fish?

Well, maybe we could do one where I grab you around the waist, and drag you into the Shadow-realm.
Once there, you begin preparing a spell, then I shove you out ahead of myself. Once out, you fire off a projectile attack, and I'll come in low and do some slashing damage. Bianca waits to get Shanaya's thoughts.

Re: [Nexus] NO XIII: Do Clockwork Penguins Dream of Mechanical Fish?
{No Longer So Cold - Front Room Entrance Area}
Shanaya thinks about this dual technique. It sounds fun. Being dragged into the Shadow Realm is always an adventure. As long as she doesn't transform into a killer squid, or something, because, from her experience, being dragged into other realms usually turns you into something strange. But this time, she'll be aware of it, so maybe she won't turn into a squid.
If anything goes wrong, though, she could always just turn into a mermaid and wait out the Shadow Realm, until she teleports back to Regularland.
"That sounds like a good idea," says Shanaya. "I'll probably use a Fire spell, because those ones are the coolest." Thinking a little bit further, she nods. "Yes! That's a great idea."

Rick Brutal enters, trying to presume a heroic pose, but his cape gets stuck in the door, and he trips and rolls across the floor to land on the floor. Rick Brutal is wearing a bright yellow leather musketeer's coat, with a matching cape, brown pants and green shirt, large shades, and a yellow bandana. He is about 35, with only a few hairs on his prematurely balding head. Rick has a gold rifle on his back. Rick Brutal is a ham, wearing a yellow tabard and cape, green pants and a shirt, topped with shades and a bright yellow bandana. He's about 35, prematurely balding, with shiny white teeth, (He flosses.) Hazel eyes, and an arrogant grin. He looks over at anyone around, winks, (Pointless really, he's wearing shades.) and announces, Greetings! I'm Rick Brutal! Huzzah!

Shanaya Evilene Klisvane accepts Bianca's hand-taking abilities, and Shanaya's hand is taken! (Oh, no! How will she ever get it back?)
She nods. "Okay," says the girl. "Is it nearby? Or do we have to go outside again?" she asks Bianca. "Are there already weapons there? What are the chances that we'll see them there?" She asks these questions, and quite a few other questions, as well.

Yes. No. Practice. About fifty-fifty. Bianca says, dragging the strange girl along. I think I've rarely seen them practice, and then only for that short time when Dipsnig enrolled them in school.
But don't you worry. If need be, I'll help you track them down. she then turns a corner, and behold the practice room. And here we are. Now we can practice that special attack.

As Shanaya is dragged into the Practice room, eight little pin-sized bars, each with different colors and different meanings, float upwards and tell about all the status effects and all the unnecessarily complicated battle stats of the girl.
Or, rather, instead of being floating somewhere, they are being projected on the wall, somehow.
"Okay." says Shanaya to Bianca as the girl positions herself in the room, ready for battle practice. "Let's start!" She draws her large sword from her back, which starts glowing a dim scarlet color.
She waits to be dragged into the Shadow Realm to start preparing the Fire Magic.
