Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
I would like a wizard of hopefully ambiguous gender blowing something up, or otherwise being a badass if possible. I'm creating a magnificent bastard here.

Possibly this?

Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
Anyone has a cool image of a warrior in light armor holding a whip?
Most of what I found was either a character from King of Fighters or Catwoman.
Preferably male, but it can be any gender.

Offhand, my thoughts leap to Gideon Jura.
It's a little heavier than "light" armor, a bit more like a breastplate, but probably close enough.

So this guy has a name, huh? This was the exactly one good image I managed to find... lol. But thanks anyway.

You don't find many villains or heroes more awesomely bad@$$ than Gerald Tarrant, the Neocount of Merentha:

Found a few, unfortunately I couldn't find the original source image for most of them.

:smallconfused: MtG cards show the artist's name at the bottom. Just google the artist, many have their own sites with galleries on them.

Request: Stereotypical witchy witches, full on wicked witch of the west, corn hag looking types, but male instead of female.

I am quite well versed in that. Believe me I tried. These are all older cards, and the artists seem to have never made a web presence or withdrawn from it (Ron Spencer). Many have galleries, but not all, and I hit a run of them that don't appear to, or that don't have these decade old pieces on their sites.

Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
I've not got a request as much as an appeal, since I don't really need it. I've trying to find pictures of a relatively simple concept, but all I've found are photos of painted miniatures.
Basically I would appreciate any high quality pictures of historically accurate of 15th century Knights/Men-at-Arms/Gendarmes/Chevaliers.
EDIT: If the armour is really polished and shiny that would be a definite bonus.
Examples:

Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
Look at their catalogue for "Historical miniatures' and "Historical figures". Both section have very reasonably accurate 15th century charactes.

Thank you.
I expected actual artwork (similar to the other pictures in this thread) rather than cover art for boxes. However since my own inability to actually find that is reason I'm asking in here in first place, it's definitely appreciated.

Baldur's Gate-related! From NixxiCal:

Minsc (and Boo)

Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
I'm looking for a picture for the following character: female warrior, athletic but lithe body (more like an acrobat/gymnast than a bodybuilder), has horns big (and pointy) enough for goring (preferably bull-like in appearance), fairly attractive.
I have one picture but am looking for alternatives:
If it's of any importance, the character is sorta inspired by Ibuki Suika from Touhou.

Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
How's this work? Probably a bit too evil or stripperific for what you're wanting, but the Satyxis from the Iron Kingdoms were the first thing that came to mind.
EDIT: Here's another Satyxis image that might work a bit better (god knows how she gets that helmet on around her horns, though):

You can't. And it's very hard to explain, especially by someone who has English as a secondary language. So instead of making futile attempts at describing what is attractive to me, I'll just say what isn't.

Or accept what people find for you meeting your exacting needs without comment. Whether you use it or not is another matter.

Or I can comment on it, because I was asked for a comment, and thus provide more info which could be helpful to other users who might think they have a picture that could interest me.
Dude, what's your deal? You bored or something? :smallconfused: It's not your business what I do with someone's help. So could you perhaps back off a little before I'll report you for pestering me?

I think the point is that a simple "Hm... Not quite what I'm looking for, what else have you got?" would suffice. Or even "Maybe something a little less blue and glowy-eyed/berserker-looking/[whatever your issue with it actually is]?" Just not "Please keep spending your valuable time finding pictures for me until you, by pure chance, end up with one that I don't insult for reasons I refuse to disclose."

I think you're reading things in a little much. He DID give a fairly simple "not quite what I'm looking for, you're right that I can't really explain and it doesn't help that english isn't my first, but I will at least say, that's not quite right".
Seems just fine to me.

Considering that that's not even remotely what I said, I don't really know what your problem is.
I'm not forcing anyone to find pictures for me.
I'm not insulting anyone/anything.
I'm not refusing to disclose my reasons, I've been as clear as is possible to me.
