Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Why it stops? I have no idea. Started again.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Logged on briefly, then minecraft crapped itself and died. That was fun while it lasted.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Okay, looks like the RAM usage has increased significantly, so I've given it more of that. Investigating whether something in particular is leaking memory.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
I'm starting to realize just how many liberties the designers took with the floor plan of this ship. I'm going to have to shuffle a lot of things to make it work right.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
ah, found the actual problem this time, apparently it's not written to server log. Looks like it actually might be a problem with Minecraft, or at least Bukkit.

Also found a previous crash log

I would re-download the server jar file and run it plain with no mods, then add bukkit and forge and run it again. Then load it up with the mods.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
I am going to repeat the suggestion that there be another world or two added- the first, a normal Survival map generated in the most recent version, and the second a survival, flatlands map. The first would generate stuff like temples, which have otherwise unobtainable blocks, and the second gets us a slime farming area. Win-win.
Of course, we could restore Essentials and put unobtainium for sale in the trade building...

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Reliable slime finder found here.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
AWDI here,
Just to tell everyone I found new chunks that contain emerald in the release world. (/warp emerald)
Also I found this strange thing, Anyone know what it is? You can look at it at /warp bedrocktree (1508 x, 114 y,695 z in the release world)
There was also this dirt building several blocks away

Can't. MP seed is concealed from players. To prevent that. My minimap doesn't show it either.
Server is on 1.3.1 or 1.3.2. I think it doesn't matter which one you're running, since they're so close...

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Looks like the server is down again.

All of them could, in theory, it's just that you'd have difficulty finding someplace far away enough on the older worlds to have not been generated yet. It's difficult, but it can be done: I've found a jungle and swamp biome on terra, for example.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Tekkit server down again?
-
Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Mageking, worlds and plugins are added for the good of the server, not the convenience of the players. I am not going to add a superflat survival world. That I am sure of.
Crashed again with another lengthy java crash report. Updated java, then updated craftbukkit.

Setting up a server is like putting together a game: It's about putting obstacles in front of the player, not taking them away. Of course, they need to be the right obstacles, and in some areas (particularly UI and control schemes) it really is about player convenience and ease of use, but in general you're trying to make things more difficult, not less.
It's the same reason that not everyone is able to spawn blocks, for example.

Also, middle ground (just making things different). I see what you did there. I think Sap just phrased it a little badly. The server itself, being a nonliving thing, can't "benefit" from anything, really. And the players should "benefit" some way or another, either making things easier or more challenging or both, it about having more choices and more fun. It's not exactly Zen/An Exact Science though.
*Spawn blocks all the time. Creative does have a reason for existing.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
So how's the tekket server going for everyone? that still a thing that's happening?
Always thought it would be fun if i could make a huge nuculer powerplant somewhere that distributed electricity to everyone for their own machines. I could manage it while you guys did all that other stuff, and if you found anything that would help the plant like say, uranium, then you could give it to me as a form of payment. or i'd turn your power off :P
But feh, havent been on minecraft lately really, sucks that the latest patch killed my sand generator. I've got loads of the stuff now, but i know that sooner or later i'll need more :P

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
The tekkit server appears to be down.
Again. It figures when I have a small window of 64-bit time.I think a water tower or a water pump configuration would be better since it requires no maintainance, has a consistent output, and can feed on resources infinitely. Also, Noone ever seems to be on the tekkit server.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
I stopped comign there as often when it started only being me, and sometimes one other person online at a time

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Just so you guys know, if you want a completely hidden (whether open or closed) piston door, I can make one for you. Here is a video of it in action. I figured this out a bit back, but it doesn't seem to be a common design so I wanted to share it a bit more.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Tekkit server still down, only a few hours left for me to acesess. Regular sever down also, Java net socket exeption.
-
Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Oh hey. The tekkit server kinda stopped happening, if anyone else is willing to host I'll give you all the data and help you set up a server.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Hello additional boss fights in vanilla minecraft. Where have you been?
(At least I hope it's a boss fight, and not just a new mob)
-
Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
That is awesome, in a totally creepy sort of way. With 240 hit points, I'd certainly hope that it isn't a mob. :P

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
AWDI here, What are the rules for moving things from creative to a non creative world?
I built a ship, not that big, only using wood and the only thing that is finished is the base and the levels and I'm wondering if I could get the placed in another world in exchange for the wood needed to construct it.
Ship in question
