Evan certainly doesn't resist. He smiles more brightly at Love.
Yay! :smalltongue:
Ready to go?
Uh huh... are you?
Yeah. I'm good to go.
Love grins and leads him out, as I post for Home!
Tyrone finally pulls himself out of deadtime and looks around the tavern. Eventually his eyes settle on... something that identifies the tavern by name. "Trog's Tavern? I think I might have heard of that before, maybe..."
A woman enters the tavern. She looks fairly typical but moves in a way that hints at a history as an adventuring rogue type. She approaches the front counter.
I'm looking for a woman named Zee.
Cosmo grunts.
It's a really ill-tempered grunt. And has something to do with Zee not being around nearly as much as she should be. Stupid lazy PCs not doing their job and leaving all the work to everyone else.
"You're looking for Zee?" asks someone with the voice of young adult male. Should the owner of the voice be regarded the totally not a rogue woman will find herself looking down at a unicorn.
A...
Very small unicorn. Probably a bit shorter than a human if he were teetering on his hind legs. Black with oddly pearlecent white stripes and swirls.
"Do you need her help for something? OH! I might be able to lend you a hoof! Does your quandary have anything to do with magic?"
The woman looks down, then shrugs. Good enough.
In fact, it does. It is raining tiny toy men near my home. It appears to be rain that has been magically altered, but dispelling it releases dangerous magic. I came looking for somebody who could safely dispell the magic. Or prevent it from being unleashed at all.
"Wow, great!" he replies brightly. Then frowns a bit. "Eerr... not great that weird things are happening. Great that I might be able to help you out. I'm a student of magic, see. Magic of all kinds. I've been writing a book! All the different forms of magic in the Nexus!"
That is going to be an absurdly long book.
He trots a bit closer to the woman, looking quite eager to get to work on the off chance that this might be some new kind of magic that he hasn't documented yet!
Gets to document new types of magic all the time. And it never ceases to make him all giddy.
"Just show me the way and I'll see what I can do."
The woman smiles and leads the unicorn out of Trog and back to Inside.
The llama trots into the tavern and relaxes next to a table chatting with some NPC's. He's not really sure if any PC's are around, but there are always gonna be NPC's. In fact, he can make them do or have things like MONOPOLY!
The llama starts playing Monopoly with some NPC's. He's the Top Hat!
Sharon happens to be here, sipping a Black Shadow at a corner table. And the Llama gets a wave!
*The llama waves back and trots over to Sharon while a bard tries to convince the cleric that trading Park Place for Illinois Ave and St. Jame's Place is a good idea.*
Hiya Sharon. Ummm...what'cha drinking?
"Hey, Llama. It's a Black Shadow," Sharon says, lifting the drink in indication.
*He sniffs the drink looking concerned* Are you sure its safe? Its not like drow poison or anything?
*He trots over to his table, takes his turn, lands on a Chance space, wins a beauty contest, feels pretty, and trots back over to Sharon again.* I usually stick to root beer and LLamanade.
"Nope! Perfectly safe. It's my favourite. Llamaade is good too," Sharon says, as her player peeks in from Minecrafting.
(Go back to minecrafting, I'm about to get to bed)
*The llama gives Sharon a wooly embrace and smiles, heading back over to his game. After a few turns, he lands on a Community Chest space and the card says "DEADTIME OOZE" before he can react, he is covered in messy deadtime*
(sleep well!)
Sharon hugs the llama back with a smile, then settles in with her drink and her thoughts.
A person with goggles (they have other features, but only less important things like type of coat and species) enters the Tavern, and orders a drink at random; they'll probably be okay. They bite the coin they pay with, maybe to be sure it's only money, or that it's fully money, and take a tall glass away before looking around the room.
Is that a thoughtful person over in the corner? They slink over towards Sharon to see if they're still aware and sober and present enough to be interesting.
Foro the magma monkey was sitting at the bar, drinking his usual Dragon Liver Buster.
Sharon looks up, blinking in surprise as someone approaches. And is that a magma monkey at the bar? :smalleek:
Of course that's a magma monkey at the bar, he's pretty much a decoration here. He's always around here drinking. Usually.
The door is opened and, as if pushed through, a sort of trolley with a big metal container (somewhat shorter and with a greater diameter than the average garbage can) is pushed into the inn, where it comes to rest vaguely in the middle of the floor, as much as that can be achieved without running into things.
It has a shiny (freshly-polished!) red DO NOT PRESS button, a big one, atop its locked lid, with a few smaller DO NOT PRESS THESE EITHER buttons scattered around it.
Well, Foro the magma monkey may not be able to read but he does have an instinct to press buttons. Especially big red ones.
As soon as he turns around and sees the container with a big red button and smaller buttons he hops towards it. The elemental started to press the buttons rapidly and repeatedly. "EEEEEEEE! Fun!"
Sharon winces, sure that No Good Shall Come Of This.
Well, that was quick.
The locks on the lid make a loud, heavy CLUNK as they unfasten, and small vents let loose a vaporous puff of pure cliche, hissing. Man, what's up with containers always clunking and hissing like snakes in too-large clogs, man?
Not pausing his pressing of buttons Foro just laughs like a mad monkey. "EeehehheheheEEE! Thing happend! Foro made thing happen!" He joyously proclaimed as he continued to mash at the probably now useless buttons.
The lid is pushed off as something horrible rises up, gelatinous and with swirls of opacity and translucency undulating through it in shapeless waves...
First and foremost, it's horribly pink...
Pink...
PAAAAAAAAAAANK
Maurice the lemur wakes up, having apparently followed Sharon here. He looks over at the magma monkey and the hissing machine. Curious he quickly scuttles over to take a closer look as well. He climbs up onto a chair near the hissing cart filled with pink goo, leaning in close to get a good look at it.
Foro stops his assault on the buttons to look at the pink thing inside the container. "Oooh pinky goo." Well only one thing to do now.
Poke it.
Which Foro does with great intensity and repeatedly.
