There's always time for pony. Sleeping, eating, so many things easily sacrificed to the greater good.

Thing is. Applejack had loads of family from the first episode, and at least one member of that family has appeared in each of thirty-five of the fifty-two aired episodes. That's a bit over two thirds.
Rarity's sister Sweetie Belle appeared in episode 1, was introduced in episode 12, and was revealed as a relative in episode 17.
Scootaloo also appeared in 1x01 and was introduced in 1x12, but was revealed (by what was Tier 2 canon at the time) to be unrelated.
In 1x02 Pinkie mentioned a "Granny Pie"; details remain elusive.
Season 1 episode 23, which specifically focused on the mane six's pasts, revealed Twilight's parents and Pinkie's immediate family, but neither that nor the additional flashback in 2x22 gave any hint that either mane pegasus is related to anyone or anything.
Call it what you like. My point is that both earth ponies and both unicorns, as well as the earth pony and unicorn in the CMC, had family in season 1; here we are after season 2 and the closest thing we get for any pegasus who's appeared in more than two episodes is "Derpy" being near Doctor Hooves in a background shot.
I vote for MLP: FIM: TOS: LVI;;
I think if you take that far enough it strips all conversational aspects from talking. It's not people exchanging their opinions anymore, it's unpossessed ideas passing each other and melding or bouncing away. My point is, after a certain length of time the words you're responding to have no relevance to the person who's going to respond back, so are you really having a conversation with them?
I'm just trying to tell some jokes. :smallfrown:Quote:
I actually don't quite buy that. It only works from a "unless something is specifically called out then it's not allowable, and you are not allowed to make logical inferences based on presentation of two points" point of view. Dispensing with that because it's lame, and if I get too lame Bleakbane will confuse me for Gilda and then shenanigans will ensue, this is the general framework from about 40 threads ago.
We know there's no such thing as a universal opinion. So we can surmise than very few ponies were around who appreciated Luna's night, but that they were around. And when it turns out that Luna was banished to the moon, no matter how justified the punishment, somepony is going to grumble about it.
There's an undercurrent of pro-lunar sentiment, or at least disillusionment with Celestia. It carries along like tradition, within the respective noble lines, and finally Luna returns! And so the courtiers set to her, plying her with cloying sweetness, a shoulder to cry on, and convince her that things really weren't so bad and Celestia was wrong to have behaved so harshly.
Eventually, the socially starved princess comes to believe it. Convinced that the system of governance is obsolete, Luna petitions Celestia for sweeping changes. After all, she did have a thousand years to think about whatever came to mind. Celestia, being smart enough to realize that Luna is being manipulated, tries to talk her down. Luna sees this as jealously guarding her power though and gets mad. Things escalate.
Eventually, Luna continues with her old plan, of founding a new kingdom of night-loving ponies. Only, not a kingdom, a monarchal (for now) republic! Luna will rule as head of state until the governance is established, and then allow those ponies whose merit allows them the position to be elected as senators.
Of course, while some of her followers honestly believe this is the right thing to do, or at least a good thing, the majority of the senators have simply chafed user Celestia's benevolence and want a chance at a throne. Even a shadow throne. Working both sides of the conflict through intermidiaries and pocket dignitaries, they set up just enough strife to validate going themselves power to run martial law...
Admittedly it's a better campaign setting than it is show canon, and Bad-Ass Luna, PRINCESS OOOF THE NIIIIIGHT blows it out of the water – she's a goddess and she is damn comfortable in that role – but as a hypothetical in which to work, it's pretty slick.
No, but really, have y'all actually used that idea like that before? Like with all that political intrigue and stuff?
Let the panels begin (sort of)

So Season 3 is almost here and some actual evidence of Season 4 emerges...
It is highly unlikely that it's you. Considering he got annoyed at a forum, he's probably seeing ponies in places where he didn't intend to see and is getting a little overwhelmed. Good odds that some other friend found out or made fun of it and now he's feeling torn about it.
You're probably taking the best route by not talking about it too much, though as season 3 comes out, a little bit of "wasn't it cool when X happened?" might be the kind of little nudge that will be helpful.
I vote for this one.
Mmmhmmm...nope. Too young, too much drool. I am unmoved.
That's not true. Ino totally lost a fight to Sakura early on during Chuunin exams! She even got to monologue and everything.
Sweet.
The rest, you've got me on. But this? No. This isn't evidence at all. It's a stereotype joke, because redneck southerners have all the babies. All of them.
If Appleoosa showed up in the first episode, had buffalo running casinos and smoking pipes an complaining about smallpox, an then the animates happened to reuse all those background gambler models, it would be the same thing.[/QUOTE]
Oh! Why, yes, I am fabulous~ UwU
I also like LVI:S though. But seriously, we need more pony lords. It's a lonely job.
Yes and no. The other person's willingness to re-engage interest is worth noting. And they can, If they choose. the answer of course is to treat this like any tool, and not over use it.
I'm sorry, I keep doing that to you.Quote:
I'm just trying to tell some jokes. :smallfrown:
If it helps, I did like the joke, but it was an easy in to address something I wanted to talk about anyway. No hard feelings? :3
I try but they shoot me dooooowwwwnQuote:

My Little Pony LVI: You have my OC!
For the massive waves of peons that died in the past thread.
Ooh I change my vote to this.
Also adorable alert
So no "Ponythread: Season 3 Ruined My Fandom" yet? Or are we waiting til it actually happens.
Yesssss. Let the crack theories flow through you. [/Emperor Palpatine]
When I saw this, I literally threw my hands in the air and pranced around my apartment shouting* "GOOOOAAAAAAAL!" I really enjoy Mandopony's stuff, and the thought of himjoiningascending to the music staff fills me with glee, even if it's only in a minor position.
*By shouting, I mean Fluttershy-style shouting. So it was actually more like "GOOOOAAAAAAAL!" Because I didn't want to have to explain my joy to my roommates.
Ok, I was going to vote for LVI:NG the Dream, but now I have to go with this instead.
So that's, what, 5 votes for LVI:S has left the building? What else do we got?
I've been on this thing where I'm trying to spoonerism-ize that because we already used that line for Season 2 (I even made sure to suggest it before the suggestion flood this time!), but it keeps getting drowned out among the wordplay that's approximately 20% cooler.
No.
No, I am not going to let this one pass without comment.
I thought that was exactly the kind of contrived, pointless, maudlin, sad-for-the-sake-of-being-sad nonsense we have faaaar too much of in the fandom. I didn't even bother to read it fully, I more than got enough of it skimming. There have been a very great deal of sad-fics written, and almost all of them were better done than that (and some of them even had a point, like the Youth in the Garden).
End of the world because everypony gets killed by a meteor? Really? That's your excuse to have a bonding moment between Dash and Scoots?
Please.
It could literally not be any more contrived and unconvincing.
(It is extremely rare I bother to leave a negative review, but that one actually merited it. (Though not quite so terse as this post, even then.))
Ok, hello everypony, let me count votes and then do the usual? :smalleek:

Aww, but one vote away from being able to name a ponythread.
Such is life. At least I get to do this!
