Re: [MtG] GitP Regulars as Magic the Gathering Cards
Well, let's see. I play my already-OP 5/3 for 3 on turn 3. On turn 4, I then tap the creature with X=3 to give the ability "Whenever you control a permanent named "Cursed Scholar", you win the game" to itself. For three rounds. Not that it needs it.
If it has to be an ability that actually exists, I'll just give whatever the highest value Annihilator (I think it's Annihilator 6) to another creature, swing it, and force my opponent to sacrifice 6 permanents. Fair and balanced.

Can I persuade you to put an eye on the balance of my entries?

The abilities are weird, starting with the cost. If you have an X cost, usually X is the value for the ability as well. Like Jorm said, it's crazy being able to add or remove abilities. It's MTG pun pun. After that, having a duration is just strange.

They're fine. Maybe they wouldn't be printable, but they're balanced enough.

Has never played MtG except for one failed game 3 or 4 years ago.
Okay, so maybe tone down the "X/X" to "1/1" and increase the mana cost on summoning?
That looks neat, from what I can make of it @Draconium.

It's still pun-pun levels of crazy. There's a huge list of keywords, any number of which your card can add or remove essentially at will.

No takers? :smallsigh: It's fine, I'm typically ignored by all and sundry.
No, my opponent did not play Curse of the Martyr Complex on me in our previous game.
I did.

There's a lot of skipping around on who gets what and when in these threads. You can usually guilt someone into writing one for you by doing one up for them first. That's how it usually goes for me. Otherwise it could just be that people are still reading through your sig and posts to get a feel for how to do your writeup.

The nature of these threads is not a fast one. It's also not an orderly line. :smallfrown:

Hm. Okay, so maybe drop the second ability (adding an ability, which I meant as like Keyword abilities in the first place), and change the second ability to say Tapped and 5 mana (4 any, 1 blue) and a duration of one round? That means you get an effective debuffing card (if I'm looking at this right) that's super squishy.

2) Even if you restricted it to evergreen keywords, add/remove keywords is stupidly strong. Like Pun-Pun-equivalent levels. It's cray-cray.
3) It's an overpowered Blue card without Jace in the title - that simply won't do :smallwink:.

Be that as it may, I've declared too many blue cards to trust this.

Hmmm
Rough idea as I'm now on phone:
The Waterwheel UUBB
Artifact
T, sacrifice a creature, sacrifice The Waterwheel: reveal a card from your library, it it is an artifact, play it without paying its mana cost, otherwise send it to the graveyard, do this until you have played as many cards as the sacrificed creature's converted mana cost.
Artifacts played this way come into play tapped and gain the following properties:
This card does not untap during the untap phase
Pay 2 life: untap this card
The cost might be a bit low but it runs a real risk of milling oneself

Few people are!
And I just felt like guilt trippin' - I like Depletion Shield (it works well with my Belltower Sphinxes).

For Red Fel, because too many people skip the scheming part of Hell.
Stained Glass Demon4(U)(B)
Creature - Demon
Flying
When ~ enters the battlefield, exile all other permanents. For each permanent exiled this way, its owner puts a token into play that's a copy of that permanent.
5/5
Iffy on the costing...

Re: [MtG] GitP Regulars as Magic the Gathering Cards
Doesn't the -10 ability result in an infinite loop? You gain life, which triggers the emblem, which makes you gain life, triggering the emblem...

No. The "and gain 10 life" is not part of the emblem, which I indicated by not including it under the quotation of the emblem's effects.

This creature can only be summoned using Madness.
If at any time you control more horrors than a player possesses life, that player loses.
Madness: (B/ϕ)(B/ϕ)(B/ϕ)(P/ϕ)(P/ϕ)(P/ϕ)

Volatile, won't come out normally, interested in things not normally present let alone discussed, and just as likely to make one's self lose with alternate conditions than to succeed.
Sadly, I don't think you can do Purple mana with Magic Set Editor - you can do Snow mana, though. Would you make due with Colorless Phyrexian mana?

The ability still triggers it's own emblem though, which I'm pretty sure is a no-no.

Is it? I actually wasn't aware of that. I'll probably go back and make a new one without the "gain 10 life" later, then.
