Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Heh Nameless, I can't draw realistic with anything.
But I can't draw decent looking cartoon figures in Fireworks anyway. I prefer even MS Paint over it. :smalltongue: Yeah I went there!
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Nameless, this is ABR. Does ANYONE do realistic images for the actual fighting or plot?
Also, seeing as people can make realistic images on Drawball, I wouldn't be too surprised if someone managed a realistic image on inkscape.
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
People (Who are really, really, insanely good) can make realistic pictures in MSPaint, it's not really a good way of testing the limitations of an artistic medium.
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
here's your realistic inkscape pic!
sorry no shading
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Here's an interesting point: If you make a photorealistic picture in InkScape, people will say it's Photoshop
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Awesome, it would really benefit from some shading to make it less cartoony, but nice detail.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Well, my new comic is up. Next stop: Space!
Oh, and Lavidor, thanks for joining Vert Doom (I assume that is the case?).

Yep, now maybe make the hammer larger, increase the legs length a bit, and stop him from screaming his head off. :smallwink:

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
I will work on that as soon as I handle my foe's most recent attack. It is using a technique against me known only as "The stupid thing won't even let me bring up the window."

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
My new Animal Week avatar may look odd, but first I have to explain Oliver.

He is essentially a gish. He used magic to make him physical objects, like wings and armour. However he attacks with a magically controlled gauntlet, that creates blades.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
I made a short comic of my character talking to Nameless. It's not as hard as I thought, I just need to get the templates done.
My current to make list:
Templates for other characters
A better talking mouth.
Some easier way to draw sleves.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Where did all the fort longcat people go? Am I all alone up in space?

That's a very awesome drawing Rand, allas, it's still a cartoon.
This is something which took me hours and hours of painstaking mouse drawing and swapping colours every two minutes, I'm pretty sure I've already posted it here ages ago.
I found it hard on Fireworks, I don't think I could do this on Inkscape.
Yeah, it's an interpritation of a poster I have on my wall, but I'm still happy with it. :smalltongue:
@Q: NO! Science is for Plot III! This is FFF!

I'm also thinking of making a character for Vert Doom's army. But, I can't decide if the concept is really awesome or really stupid.

Well, I have no idea.
Is Fort Longcat the space place the sientists are? Because if it is, I would take a guess that they have nothing to do anymore.
Which is a problem that King Bortak will probably solve.
[EDIT]

I see no reason why fantasy and science fiction cannot go hand-in-hand on occasion. All of my stories involve something from both worlds.
Sorry, I'll try to keep science to a minimum here.:smallfrown:

I'm not actually on Longcat, but two of my NPCs are... Charles and his unnamed lieutenant.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Wow, so some Royal Dragons survived? That presents some bureaucratic issues...
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Ayup. Especially since, as royal purple dragons, they are the official heirs to the amulet...

Freeman is somewhere there, thinking a way to blow the mother****ing **** out of Fort Longcat, since it belongs to Aperture Science, a rival to Black Mesa.

Specifically, Rohakdul is the heir.

That's my very big worry...because there's no way in all Hades Lying is going to let someone (Anyone, even royalty) take it
But then, they are dragons...
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Meh, dragons are overrated. Nothing more then fire/ice breathing lizards with wings.
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
What up with the swanking new avi Lying?

Inner animal week methinks. *Points to the banner-link-thing in her sig*
I'm not sure why people have started using their animal avys so early though.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
The same thing happened with Gender-Bender week. People like to show off their avvies.
Oh, and new comic up.
