"So, Bison, how does it feel to be on the receiving end for a change?"
Mmmmm.
Juxtapository innuendo.

Yes, yes, I killed your father.
What is it with you women anyway?
I killed my father and you don't hear me whining about it.

Oh come on. Everyone's seen the Beaker rickroll by now, surely.
Go watch my links.
If they don't make you lose sanity points then I'll give you a medal or something.

Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
Ah, Beaker.
You made me less apathetic about the world.

I just lost every bit of SAN I ever had. My children will be born without a space for that attribute.
Wow... That was incredibly weird. And oddly funny.

Bonus.
I demand more sanity point losses!
Crazy crap! Whatever! Post it! Turn us all insane and vulnerable to the elder god's takeover!

The first link you posted is now one of my favourite things. Add it to the "Sound of Music" song.

For reference, this is the kind of comment that makes me consider going back and clicking on the youtube link after all. But to be honest, I was disappointed, tritone-wise. Unless they get more noticeable after the point where I closed the window.

Just popping in. Realised that my posts have become less frequent (by which I mean non existant) of late. Exams. I blame the exams.

Someone say Street fighter? I only played a bit of 2.
But I'm playing Mega Man X (SNES) right now, and I just got the Hadoken:smalltongue:
One hit kills everything

Actually "I'm here to kick ass and chew bubble gum" is from John Carpenter's They Live. The next bit of the line is "and I'm all out of bubble gum," but it's normally left out.
Of course, now it's just worked it's way into a normal saying instead of people knowingly quoting "Rowdy" Roddy Piper

Reversing the correction of the quote that's definitely from They Live.

Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
I did it from memory and was too lazy to double check it. Thanks for correcting that.
On a side note, I really don't know why I watched that entire movie...

To my ear, sir, and I could be mistaken, but one of the primary modes of the distortion in that version was to shade every note with a tritone, particularly the bass.

Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
Two weeks ago, I had a three day migraine which I moaned about quite a lot on the forums. Because I'm a whiney baby. I'm now on day three of another migraine. I haven't whined as much, but only because unlike the last 'graine, this one gets worse if I sit at the computer too long. Not because I'm any less whiney than before.
Anyway, I need sympathy. And a drill to the skull. :smallfrown:
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
I can give you sympathy, but I'm going to hide all my drills for your own good.
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
Awww, trepanation is a medically sound way of releasing demons from the skull! Really!
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
I wouldn't recommend it (it sounds painful). I'm sorry if this sounds like a really stupid question, but can a removed skull fragment be safely re-attached after it's been removed?
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
Brain surgeons reattach the skull bits, right?
As for painful, you reach a point in a migraine where the thought of having a drill to the skull sounds like it might be a pleasant interlude.
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
The Incans (or was it the Mayans? I always get them mixed up...) practiced this ages ago to presumably relieve headaches (or at least pressure within the skull).
Successfully, I might add.
They weren't nearly as savage as they're made out to have been. Not by a long shot! :smallwink:
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
I know the practice has been used a lot by a lot of different people (the fact that bone started to re-grow suggests that some people survived it as well). I'd assume that they would reattach them (I'm notsure how they do it, though).
