We're from Arcania too ! We were with the gazillion* survivors that escaped from the city before it was razed ! And with all the others that have been exiled from it half a millennium ago !
*Ten to the power of over nine thousand decillions googolplex.

Well Arcanians were humans, so it'd need to be Favoured Enemy (human), thought it'd give the same impact either way.
Also: Curse my apparent writing genius!
Honestly I'd say Remember is "epic" because I'm prolific with the scripting and it basically lays the foundation of Avbaroy as it stands today.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
Far from that: the Arcanian population enjoyed an immense growth in the space of that night. It even got some kobold members !

Not really. Most of the guinoids come from nations that submitted to the Empire or prisoners. And the Moon Elves could not risk the black topic being transmitted.

Idea!
All the Empire really knew for sure about the leaders of the exersus resistance was that they were Arcanian. During this time period, many members and symapthizers with the resistance began referring to themselves as "Arcanian", both to throw off the imperials and to honor the destroyed culture. For this reason, in current ABRoy, many people of many races claim "Arcanian" Lineage. They may not know why their family adopted that designation, but they may use it, and it's not like they are going to run into a real Arcanian.

Excellent ! As long as the characters are not over a googolplex years old and they saw the destruction of Arcania, it should work fine.

Add to BRC post; Cuz they're all dead. :smalltongue:

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
There's only 2 living Arcanians on Avbaroy, and a Lich.
I can appreciate the emulation concept, but it really cheapens the memory if every Tom, Declan, and Harriet decides to call themselves Arcanian.
Besides, it's one thing to be a captured member of la resistance, it's another to be a captured member of la resistance and an Arcanian. One of them will get you killed faster and hunted more passionately.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
Wait; two? Who's the second? :smallconfused:

Hey, being a resistance member was already bad enough in the empires eyes.
It was a "Boy Who Cried Wolf" Type of thing, If every time the empire captured a resistance member, or heard about some resistance activity, and the members said they were "Arcanian", it means that they would be less likely to notice or investigate reports of the Real Arcanians. This way the Igon and Rain might do somthing, and the empire would hear about "Arcanians in Blauport!", and say "Yeah, and in Salmonville, and in Lockatus, and in Softwind, and in Elwind, and in Schitzotect, buzz off"
And in terms of the cheapening memory, Originally it was Out of memory, in a sort of "Everybody who is oppressed by the Empire is Arcanian" type of way (Kind of like "Every Free Citizen is a Citizen of Berlin", although the speaker would rarely state immediately afterwords that they were a pastry).
Yeah sure it would have Cheapened the memory, but that may not have stopped people from doing it. It's a solution that requires no retconning to make sense.

Yeah, I know. But so is the Lich, isn't it?
I'm just saying, if you include the Lich, you should include Nameless, the Gremlin, and Keveaks half-baked characters. :smalltongue:
[EDIT] Megadoomer too. He isn't dead.

*Ahem*
Uh, what zombie cat?
*Ahem*
Seriously, though, I'm not actually Arcanian. I stayed in Arcania to shelter, and visited it frequently because I had a few friends there. 'Exile' isn't technically correct, I wasn't an official Arcanian. I was just basically banned from visiting it again.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
Uh, is a lich technically dead?
Also, that lich is a character of Lying's.

Yes.
So? They're still apperently Arcanians (except for Gremlin).

A Lich may not technically be dead, but they're certainly not living. I added the Lich to that statement since I've already established clearly who it probably is and despite her disinterest in being Arcanian, she technically still is.
On that note, there's another undead Arcanian, but good luck finding them. That's the final extent.

The lich is completely bone. He has no heart, and if he had one it wouldn't be beating. He is dead, or undead would be more accurate. Had he not committed vile rituals beyond imagination he would be pushing up the daisies. He is an EX-HUMAN!
Seriously, though...who is this lich? :smallconfused:

Of course, in D&D there's no rule stating you have to stop moving around once you're dead.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
this person is currently a lich.
Also, Xykon would like to disagree with wikipedia's statement.

Edit your post next time please.
I'm fairly certain that she is the same lich.
