I'm just irrationally scared of the embarrassment of having to discuss something I've never talked with my parents about with my parents, even if briefly, jokingly, and
focused on that embarrassment.
(And even if my dad already reads enough of my blog to know
something of OOTS and my mom would probably really enjoy it... actually, maybe that's part of it: everyone knows how something becomes infinitely less cool once your parents like it!
