As your horn is already in the soil when you puncture the corpse, it doesn't take a lot of effort to dig it around in the soil until a faint blue light shines through. You attempt to squeeze yourself through to the surface and you notice that it's significantly harder to push yourself out than it was to get in. Still, after a fairly tiring shove, your form finally stretches to the size of the hole and you escape virtually unharmed.

When you leave the creature and the dirt that surrounds it you notice that the water looks particularly crimson and the bright blue light in the sky is quite a bit dimmer. Otherwise, you notice that when you breach the surface, you are just on the edge of your crater and several small creatures, a light red in color, covered in a segmented shell, and with a single long flagellum are busy scraping away at the dirt you just breached out of with a set of sharp crystal protrusions located around a hole.

The creatures dart away very quickly to easy hiding places; under rocks, beneath some of the shredded plates of your canister, and in easily available piles of dirt. Although you can't see them, you have a feeling that they're still watching you. You also notice that the Aquapede has more or less shredded your canister. It's not fit for a home anymore, but you've only seen your crater, maybe you could find a home outside of here, or maybe you could see what those little decomposers are up to.
