That's exactly what happened to my order (which was just the book, admittedly)--USPS tracking never showed it as being anywhere other than Houston, even the same day the package arrived at my door in the UK! I think we can deduce from this that the USPS tracking website is rubbish and you shouldn't worry about what it's telling you.
