Depends on your style. Diamond Mind is considered to be the strongest school overall, so that's a good choice. Iron Heart is the "tanky" school, White Raven is the "(de)buffer" school, Tiger Claw is focused on movement and has utility, while Stone Dragon is a bit weak but has some defensive capability. A friend of mine got great mileage out of Sudden Leap (minipounce) and Hunter's Sense (scent stance), two 1st level Tiger Claw maneuvers.

I love Iron Heart, myself. I think you should focus on those two. Also, other disciplines are available with feat expenditure, and some moves aren't half bad. Burning Blade, at 1st level again, gives you +1d6+IL (cap 5) to all attacks in a round for a swift action, awesome!
