Well, my third-level feat slot is currently unallocated, so that's lucky. This also allows me to pick up a familiar (immediate magic iinvolves taking immediate actions, is stupidly broken for conjurers in any case, and doesn't actually do much for my summoning), and I think I'll go with the snake.
Given your feelings on Enhanced Summoning I'll get rid of it even if it's approved.

I did not. I get one base spell per day plus one from high Intelligence plus three from specialization. Of course, I did use the extra slots to prepare
Mount twice.
