Ragara Soras Maren is the daughter of a minor branch of House Ragara, out. Her bloodline isn't strong; her grandfather was the offspring of Ragara patricians who manifested Pasiap's blessing unexpectedly. None of his children have Exalted, which is perhaps to be expected but nonetheless a little embarrassing. Maren is still young enough that she might conceivably Exalt, and word has it that her father called in several favors to have her sent with the Cleansing in the hope that the Dragons will bestow their blessing. It's not likely, though; Maren is awfully close to 20, and you can practically count the number of Dragon-Blooded who receive the Dragons' blessings after that age on one hand.

Conveniently, she was brought up in the Threshold, thus explaining why so few people can remember meeting her. She's more than a little in awe of the Dragon-Blooded she's traveling with... though a keen watcher might notice that she's more at home setting up a camp than most of them.
