Again she scores a hit, although not where she expected. The sliver, rather than ducking away from the blow, snaps at Mimi's advancing form and takes the spearpoint on the inside of its cheek, lodging it between the jaw muscles firmly. She'd be wise not to let that beak close over her, as it is razor sharp and could shear her in two at the waist if it did.
The sliver does shriek a bit in pain as the spear lodges into its jaw though, so it seems she's landed a far more solid blow this time.
