Mimi moves just enough to avoid the beak. Or almost, as it takes a chunk out of the bottom of one of her wings. The pixie twists her spear and yanks it out, hopefully causing a bit more damage. She needs to buy time and come up with a plan, so she darts off the the side and keeps going. She keeps in plain sight, hoping the sliver with give chase.
