Re: Light of Amber - Series One
Do i HAVE to use a color? If so i will use dark orange, i guess, but i'd rather prefer marking speech in other ways. I doesn't make sense to mark speech for easier reading when the means of doing so make reading harder again.
Cymoril Maruyama - Belkan Sturmritterin

Backstory:
Spoiler
Cymoril was raised by the Saint Church as long as she can remember. She always admired the Sisters that run the Orphanage for their ability to be just protect people - both of which she needed. Most children in the orphanage were capable of Magic, just like the rest of Mid-Childa. Cymoril wasn't.
That always put her into her place - the lowest in the pecking order. Not being intimidated by bullies with magic she couldn't fight against was hard, but she tried to claw her way up by excelling in other areas. That slowly built her self-confidence, but she remained an outsider.
Until she was twelve years old. She got into another fight and was about to beat up, when a teenage girl rescued her. The unknown girl effortlessly blocked the shooting spells and scared away Cymorils attackers.
Her and Cymoril met again thereafter, and she offered to train her in self-defense. Protests that she couldn't do any magic were only met with a demonstration of non-magical fighting.
After a few months, the two did more than just sparring and became friends. Cymoril developed a crush on the older girl, and was easily convinced to go on all sorts of small adventures with her, exploring the city-ruins on Mid-Childa.
The years passed, and shortly before Cymorils 16th birthday the two stumbled upon an abandoned cellar in the countryside. They usually left everythign they found behind on Cymorils insistence, but the golden lockbox they found was just too intriguing, especially after her friend told her it was magical.
A few days later, her friend told her that she had opened the box, and that it contained an old Belkan Intelligent Device.
Cymoril was glad that her friend could now finally use her magic to her full potential, but also harshly reminded of her own incapability.
However, when Cymorils birthday arrived, she found the box they found, containing a steel bracelet marked with the golden image of a sword-carrying falcon - along with a letter that told her to meet her friend at midnight at their usual sparring place.
That night, her friend told her the passphrase to activate the device, and to her surprise Cymoril managed to do just that. Thunder crackled around her, replacing her armor with chainmail and plates of the finest steel. With a brilliant explosion a large blade formed and fit into her hand. But as the spectacle fainted and she found herself with Armor and Device - she also found herself on an unknown world, her friend nowhere to be seen.
