So, there was indeed a prisoner here. Moroe peered warily at the chamber's inhabitant, trying to determine whether it was Shiki. While anxious to complete her mission, she had no desire to open the locks and release every prisoner in this place. Being imprisoned by villains didn't automatically make you a hero. In all probability, some of the people trapped here deserved to be confined.
Moroe knocked experimentally on the glass. Should that fail, she would start looking around for some sort of intercom system. With so many precautions in place, she assumed that there was a way for the wardens to address their captives without joining them inside.
