Whoops. The gloves also have a faint transmutation aura attached to them. The metronome has already had some of the preparations made--I'm not going to bother specifying which auras (since this will absolutely never come up), but suffice it to say that it is magical.
Other than that, Detect Magic has been cast. None of the obviously magical item have had their auras written (that wand is magical!? Who knew!?)
Identification can happen off-screen at 100 gold a pop, but remember that it takes an hour per casting. The party will have to figure out time arrangements, or a way to travel while you cast.
