I believe I mentioned it upthread, but carrying weapons larger than a dagger is fairly verboten in Threshold; all weapons must be bound or turned in to the Sheriff's office. The binding of weapons is done at the gates and is simply a complex knot with a wax seal, done to keep weapons in their sheaths. Wearing armor is not illegal, but is looked up with some suspicion by officials.
