(It's hard to tell if he's showing genuine concern for your cloak or just being sarcastic, but you suspect its probably the latter.) "I'm sure we can come up with something else. If worst comes to worst, maybe we can just skewer them all onto a big stick!" He guffaws, and goes back to beheading womp rats with reckless abandon.
