ECL = HD for certain Monster races (dragons for example) if they don't have monster classes/HD+LA to make them playable.

Pulling a drack by answering requests/posts the hard way huh? I have to say this is quite the case of drack-throphy if I've ever seen it. Its like lycanthropy, but instead of turning into a badass wolf you turn into a very cynical and sarcastic man who likes to toy with his players emotions...
Yeah, what of it? Sadly it still doesn't come close to the one monster I want to play...

Maybe I'll do my best to try and replicate it through class features and whatnot.
And I figured, as that particular monster class was designed with Deities and Demigods in mind which is the apex of their power as opposed to the IHB which builds off of it like Salient Abilities are akin to feats for mortals. But at the very least that would grant me somewhat of a blanket protection from lesser beings
