Just to confirm: Is Daniel giving Sandy any sort of Willpower assistance to overcome the drugs? Or is he telling him, "Control yourself, and if you fail, then sleep?"
For the record, I question the judgement of sidelining one of the better melee fighters right now, injuries or not, but I can totally see where Daniel's coming from here. Keep Sandy down before he hurts himself severely. That, and it's a rather poignant parallel to the vampony he's arguing with.
