Ah right! Well, that is a little worrying, then, since, if i understand this correctly, a Fiendish Shadow's CR is 5 to begin with [3 (Shadow) + 2 (Fiendish)]. The CR of a Commoner 1 with this Template is only 3 or so, but he would have access to four CR 5 Fiendish Shadows. That strikes me as a bit odd.
