Pieter shrugged. "Someone on a horse might find the way back faster. Or we can stay together to avoid getting lost. I don't really have a use for a horse, so I was wondering if you might."
Come to think of it, he was not even sure why he had freed the horse and kept it from fleeing. It just seemed like the right thing to do. But at least, with a mount, one of them might escape if the knight found them.
