I don't feel like that's correct. Hanners' issues are OCD. Highly exaggerated, but still OCD. Jeph is also a sufferer of OCD himself, so I feel like he'd have a somewhat nuanced approach.

Not an unreasonable idea, but this strip here seems like contra-evidence. Add to that that Jeph is an alcoholic, yet much of Faye's alcoholism journey, post realizing she needed help, has taken place off screen, and it seems like the stuff closest to home is the stuff he's not doing.

Also, Station (a former Hanners love-interest non-start) and Tilly/Taffy hooking up off screen? Okay Jeph, you're not wrapping up the comic and tying up loose ends are you? We might complain about this or that, but c'mon, this strip isn't over!
