What it felt like was they suddenly ended the comic and just had Gary end up with whoever he happened to be with at the time (it felt the exact same way with Zii and DiDi).

I mentioned something similar months ago where they abruptly went through a MASSIVE time skip in SotR where literally in the span of 4 comics she got thrown out, it fast forwarded a year, suddenly she's a famous star and back in Paris again.

I don't know exactly what happened behind the scenes but something clearly happened where they decided to end multiple comics at once.

I remember an announcement of the ends of some comics, six or so months ago, Dangerously Chloe also went, I didn't currently read any of others the in this collection, there may be more.
