Thinking... Thinking... Instead of the Holy Heroic Power Paladins (her other father was soooo creative with that name) she'd be on duty with a team of her new siblings to act as overlord. Being on the overlord team means dealing with evil beings of varied stature. Dealing with evil beings of varied stature means the power of Love will triumph time and time again. The Power of love triumphing time and time again means... ...Well, her puzzler is starting to hurt putting together these equations, but Angelique is pretty sure that's a good thing. Also, hey, new siblings!

"Yes!!! The power of Love has found us all and binded us together in this endeavor, guys!!!" She exclaims, grabbing the closest two slobs in embrace. "I'm all for this! Eagerly, I wanna help you, you, you, and oh yeah, you! ...I need some names, but I, Angelique, will completely devote my soul to this so that the Overlord can make this world a better, loving, place!And so that I can stomp all who oppose us under my heel!" ...Her tone shifted there a minute, but she was probably just on a tear. Innocently, the 'angel' flits over to the contracts and signs one in flowery script.

Tani

Tani signs the contract. "We'll be recorded on TV constantly? How will we be able to hold clandestine meetings or sneak up on our opponents?"

She holds a finger to her cheek and starts thinking, a little thought bubble forms over her head picturing evil-looking chibi versions of the group sneaking into an enemies stronghold... then pictures the Big Demons in the castle watching TV to see the group sneaking up on them outside. Then the demons jump out and attack the group in a big fighting cloud while the TV crew look on at them.

Tani notices that her thought just took on physical shape and then brushes her hands through it to dissolve the cloud.

"Gah, all our fiendish government secrets could be revealed to the whole world! Or at least the ones that watch reality shows. Darn it... its bad enough with the newspapers and reporters."

Tani makes a mental note to try getting control over the TV program schedulers to shove all the really good shows on the same time slot as "Who wants to be an Overlord ?" so her legislative shenanigans remain a secret.

"Anyway, perhaps we should head to the overlords castle and see what they have going on there. We can either take the dimension gate to get there quickly or use my wagon. If we take my wagon we might run into some bandits or something we can fight!"

She thinks about it and says. "But if we take my wagon then I don't want anyone rifling through the boxes of stuff I have in there. But if we run into monsters then please just knock them out instead of killing them. We can always keep them as slaves or ransom them off or something."

"Fortunatly, we were able to negociate these sort of things. You won't be filmed during bathing and other activities of the sort. You'll also have privacy during your sleep and I have manage to convince them to only show strategy planning and sneaking operations after the whole thing has been done. We have also made clear that any leaks would have unfortunate consequences. So, if you'll just sign the contract, you will be able to join your new home."

[Randel]

Tani

Tani signs the contract, eager to get this show on the road and into the castle.

The moment Inazuma signs the document she suddenly gets hugged by the overenthusiastic succubus who thinks she's an angel, resulting in spilling the ink everywhere.
"Aah, help, a strangling tentacle monster!... Oops, false alarm, I got lost in my thoughts for a while there. You know, I don't mind making the world a better place (there's nowhere near enough prinnies around, if you ask me), but let's concentrate first on making sure nobody tries to take the title of Overlord from us first - we don't need more candidates in this show, it means less chances of winning and we get less screen time!"
She takes a large, relieved breath in when Angelique lets her go - she was slowly getting blue there.
"Okay, let's hurry up, I want to see if the castle is pillaged and overrun with squatters yet. And I want to check our father's library - I bet he has some very interesting books!"

[Oslecamo]

Books? Father had a library? Well, he couldn't be such a bad guy if he liked to read...Just imagine the rare tomes he has managed to acumulate, full of all kind of forbiden secrets...

Leo then seems to wake up from a dream, looks at Inazuma and asks her:

Wait, why do you say that the world would be a better place if there were more prinnies around? They may be really cute, but they're also the souls of the damned who must repent for their sins. Also they're very flamable so it isn't a great idea to have several gathered in one place.

"Well, if the 'very cute' part does not justifty everything else to you (and it does to me), then it's better that they ARE repenting for their sins instead of making the whole place even more of a mess, no? As for the flammable part, don't worry, only around half of my abilities are fire-based!"

Kale shakes his hand when offered the pen, instead smiling as he closes his eyes and they open up with a glint.

PEN ON! He shouts as a pen rockets from his hip armor, twirling in the air as he catches it with a rough grip, a loud SHWISH sound is made.

PEN GOOOOOO! He yells as quickly writes his name iin the air, Kanji appears from no where with a large paint brush look to it as he agrees with the deal. Who knows, it could be the chance he had waited for...if rather unorthadox.

He launches the telescoping pen into the air and spins to face the others as the pen lands back into its case, the fan in the room coming to life again to blow is scarf in a dramatic fashion.

Kale Nagare, at your service!

He then takes the regular pen that was offered and signs his name onto the paper.

Talthas is still taking notes. Watching the others he does a forehead slap and sighs. "Oh I'm so going to need asperin before we're done."

Tani blinks as she sees Kale's enthusiastic use of the pen, a few sparks fizzle off from her bow.

"Wow, if thats how you sign you name I'd love to see how you... eh... *blushes* change your socks?" she says quickly, it sounding as if she was thinking something else for a moment.

"I... Um... may need more than asperin..." Suddenly the 'angelbus' looks mildly embarrassed, tapping her finger against those pouting lips.

"I didn't know this was coming and I hardly brought anything with me... is the castle furbished for us to live in?"

Angelique looks down at Inazuma. "You may not believe this, but I have a hard time shopping for my effects..."

[Midboss]

The contract signed and the official proceedings finished, the group is released and leave the building. Outside, a contigency of demon soldiers waits for you. One of them carries a officer trenchcoat, a military cap, and a spear. He looks in his thirties (by human norms), has red eyes and dark hair. He sees you and smiles.

"Good day. I am Captain Jack, leader of your vast armies and your humble vassal. Let me escort you to your new home."

[Oslecamo]

Leo smiles back and answers:

Well, it's nice to see that daddy's soldiers kept their loyalty after his death. But tell me, I never heard of you before, how can we know you're not some imposter leading us to a trap so you can get the crown for yourself?

Tani

"Pleased to meet you Captain Jack." she looks the demon over and glances at the other guards lined up.

Turning to Leo she says, "Oh please... the only way anyone other than one of us could take the title of overlord would either be through a long and cunning string of manipulation and trickery which would take at the very least six months to carry out (the amount of time for us to settle into our optimal pecking order and for him to therefore work his way into the govering woorks enough to have a claim to the overlordship if we all mysteriously die)... or if he were to take us all out publicly right here and now in order to save the general public the need to watch another reality show. Leading us into a private spot somewhere to trap us so soon would just be sloppy (and of course we would need at least an episode or two of wacky hijinks before a betrayal would be thematically appropriate)."

She ***** tilts her head to the side, thinking for a moment.

"Your last name wouldn't happen to be Harkness would it?" she asks, looking at the demon officer.

"OK Jack! Exactly what kind of vast armies are we talking about? You, a dozen guards, a hundred thousand foottroops or untold millions of slavishly loyal death machines? Exactly what does the army consist of." Talthas asks as he tries to ignore the spot on summation of his plans from Tani.

Inazuma puts her hands on her hips and nods confidently.
"See? Absolutely no need to feel suspicious at all! Don't worry, there will be a plenty of occasions to feel paranoid in the future, probably starting as soon as today! Let's see how the castle looks in the meantime."

She turns towards the captain and smiles in an extremely cheerful and innocent way before a whole avalanche of questions falls from her mouth.
"Hey, nice hat. Tell me, how many soldiers do we have, and are they good? Do we have any specialists? Monsters? Did anyone desert after our father died? How's the morale? How much cash do you get paid? Is any money left in the castle, anyway? What is the condition of the building? Is there a library?"

It seems that her brother ninja-ed her with one of the questions, but she doesn't seem to mind in the slightest.

[Mysteris]

"Oh, and did Dad leave any labs or dungeons full of test subjects or weird vehicles to play with?" She grinned, rubbing her hands together. "And of course, how many personal attendants do we each get? Do we get more as we level up or is it a set amount?" Crystalia suddenly lit up with an idea. "And I call dibs on the master bedroom!"

Tani

Tani takes a quick glace around the castle courtyard. "Hmm... I have a question: Do you have any of those geopanels set up nearbye? I've head about them but wasn't sure exactly how popular or useful they are."

The offcier looks a bit embarassed.

"Errrr..... this is the army. After your father's death, we had to make a few budget cuts.... We also had to downsize most of the prinnies. The few vassals you have left a those who were really dedicated to your late father."

Inazuma drops her shoulders, a visage of clear disappointment on her face - she looks like a kid who found out the circus left the same day her parents finally agreed to take her there.
"Aww... I was looking forward to having a whole army of prinnies... this sucks. And I won't be surprised if one of our ex-retainers decides to get some goons attack the castle soon, hoping to wrestle the title of Overlord from our hands... Which means... if we beat them, we'll get enough mana to summon more prinnies!" She cheers up a little. "Great! I'm looking forward to being attacked now! So if there are any brigands around, feel free to jump out from your hideout and try to rip our guts out!" She looks around in anticipation. "Don't be shy!"

Kale crosses his arms as he assesses the army.

After they reveal that this is it, he smiles and pounds his fist into his open plam.

No problem! The size of an army isnt important, its the size of their heart!

He looks at the captain.

How willing are your men to die for the causes of complete strangers?!

Talthus nods saying "Actually this is better than I would have guessed. A few loyal retainers is better than an army poised to betray us. Leave us commence with some mild fortification, just in case, and see about tracking down those "BRIGANDS and EVILDOERS" that might be planning on attacking us immeadiatly so that we won't need those fortifications. Now we just need to find said guys and beat some mana out of them to grow our forces."

Wait just a moment...If this is all our forces...WHO IN THE NAME OF GOD IS DEFENDING OUR CASTLE? We must hurry then back to it, I don't feel like sleeping in some burned ruin. Also, are those remaining vassals loyal enough to work whitout payment? I doubt we have much money between all of us for stuff like salaries and food.

[Randel]

"Ahem, well it looks like our first goals should be clear. Lets get back to the castle, make sure its secure, and then see about getting the funding back to support our army."

She turns to Jack "Where did most of the castles revenue come from before the Overlord died?"

While boosting the moral of the troops without even trying, Angelique attempts at several intervals to interject with inquires about her new home, largely about lavatories this, accommodations that, clothes what....

Until her new half brother asks who's guarding the castle....

"Omigawd, YOU'RE RIGHT!!! oh, we'd better hurry, I wouldn't want to tarnish my... erm, other father's legacy by losing his very home on the very first day! Saying thusly she floats a little in the air, looking towards the troops as she bends forward with her arms in plea, looking as cute and sad as the dickens.

Loyal soldiers of the overlord, make haste! Won't you please aide us with the surest, swiftest route to our lovely new abode? We haven't a moment to lose!"

Angelique display does seem to have a reaction on the soldiers. Some of them hae their mouths open and a few male one have to refit their trousers.
When asked about who was in the castle, Captain Jack had that sudden look that indicated he had done a mistake:

"Oh... that's what I forgot.... COMPANY ATTENTION !!!! FORWARD MARCH !!!!"

The soldiers went into a rectangular formation around the heirs. And started running forwards. The PCs obviously follow, somewhat motivated by the idea of losing their castle.

"GOOOOO !!!! LEFT, GO RIGHT, GO PICK UP THE STEP, GO LEFT, GO RIGHT, GO LEEEEFFFTTT!!!!"

Back to our (anti-)heroes. After a rather long run, they have arrived to the overlord's castle. It is a reasonable size. But however the doors are open and seemed to have quite a few people coming in and out with stuff and weapons.

GUARDS! GET THAT FILTHY SCUM!-screams Leo, pulling out his bow and running down to the catle gates to see if he can stop more people carrying his father's stuff going out.

You there! Stop this shameless robbery right now or face the consequences!

"Hey! That's our stuff! Give it back!" Inazuma jumps in place, flailing her arms, though she's neither very angry not surprised - shameless stealing in open daylight is common practice in netherworld, after all. And then she starts running towards the robbers, keeping her hand on her sword just in case. "If you don't give it all back, I'll beat you up and test on you some very interesting techniques from a book I read recently! Don't worry, they should be mostly safe... if nothing goes wrong, at least... but who cares, it'll still be fun!" She seems to be shouting more to herself and less to them over time.

[Mysteris]

Crystalia frowned as she saw people carrying out her inheritance. Her hand flew to her bag and came up with her sleek black pistol. "Unless you want to be her test subjects and then mine, put that stuff back where you got it!" She didn't fire a bullet with her gun. Instead she released a blast of blazing blue-white energy from her left hand, right at the feet of the lead thief. "That was my only warning shot too!"

"This calls for something attention grabbing and obvious... Your on Mecha boy! Transform and ... well something.." Talthus commands, Then eyes glinting evilly he motions for everybody else's attention...
