Re: What was your favorite gift this Christmas
Well, I didn't get a Dark Knight DVD for Christmas, I got it the week before. What I did get was a Gotham Knight DVD.
My favorite gift though was probably the Ice Cream machine (the cool gigantic ones that require actual ice, not the mini ones with coolant) and accompanying Ice Cream recipe book. Mmmmmm. Homemade Ice Cream, and you can't have any.Last edited by Ashen Lilies; 2008-12-26 at 10:28 AM.

Re: What was your favorite gift this Christmas
As good as TDK is, it can never compare with an Ice Cream Machine! Never! Or, even better, eat your homemade Ice Cream, while watching TDK.

Re: What was your favorite gift this Christmas
Probably a book:
George Selgin's "Good Money: Birmingham Buttonmakers, the Royal Mint, and the Beginnings of Modern Coinage, 1775-1821"
It's about how Gresham's Law doesn't apply when people have the choice of which means of exchange to use and... No, it's really good. It has all these great anecdotes about just what sneaky, skullduggerous rogues the great figures of the Industrial Revolution actually were...
Shut up! Don't judge me!
(I'm also happily humming at WallE on DVD )Last edited by bosssmiley; 2008-12-26 at 11:19 AM.

Re: What was your favorite gift this Christmas
Holy cow Oregano, that's enormous!
Probably my favorite gift was a copy of The King of Things and the Cranberry Clown by John Callahan, which is a much deeper book than it appears to be on the surface. My GF found a copy online which was as good as new (it's been out of print for ages)! That and my new 16gb iPod (which I can't use because I need to update iTunes to v8.0)

Re: What was your favorite gift this Christmas
Either the Necronomicon (collection of some Lovecraft stories) or Spore. Can't get the latter to work though, unfortunately.

I can't decide whether I like my $20 Target gift card, or the normal $20 bill I got.
Definitely the gift card.

Re: What was your favorite gift this Christmas
Bah, Lovecraft wins either way, Troll.
If you're into him, this was a fantastic buy for me. I got it at Borders.
Oooo...Just looked up what Necronomicon you were talking about, and nevermind, that's probably got more in it than mine, though mine is probably a bit less cumbersome for travel purposes... :/Last edited by UserClone; 2008-12-26 at 02:34 PM.

Re: What was your favorite gift this Christmas
My favorite gift this christmas was a new tv (it cost about 4000Sek (Sek means swedish coins(i think 1$ is about 10Sek)))
but i also likes the movies i got, i got 17 different horror movies.
(12 of the horror movies was bought in something called a bodybag so i think it didnt cost close to as much as it would if they bought them one at a time).

Re: What was your favorite gift this Christmas
My new digital camera.
The old one sucked (it had a broken switch on top of the fact that it's older than I am), and this one's beautiful.
I also liked that I got Juno on DVD, $30 cash, and a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card.
And then my brother got Dark Knight on DVD."Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other."

Re: What was your favorite gift this Christmas
My favorite present is probably the new camera (which I got to choose myself today), but there's nothing wrong with the others, either, such as the Forgotten Realms Player's Guide, Dungeon Master's Guide, and Night of the Dragon.

Twelve-pack of Mini-Cons. I love those wacky Mini-Cons, with their crazy over- or under-sized feet, balance issues, and tiny tiny articulation.
All the Lego was nice, too. But it's not Mini-Cons.The above post sponsored by Fullbladder Manufacturing.
And so begins the Age of Extinction! The Year of the Dinosaurs! And the Reign of the Predacons!

Well, the most expensive would be the 8G Zune. Although the Witcher has to be my favorite gift this Christmas. Just... so good.
