GLoG XV: Beware the Ides of GLoG

Well, I'm generally used to eating anything I can get, but I do prefer well-done meals.

"I had a friend and I thought he cared about me as much as I cared about him. And now he's mad at me because I told him I didn't like him being mean to me." Decker says to Butler, while hugging him.

Steaks are served. Well-done for Wenomir, rare for Randy, and bloody rare for herself. Yum!

Judy *Yawns* Then walks into the kitchen. Morning. She gets a bowl of frosted flakes.

[Morty]

Thanks. Wenomir begins to eat the steak. He looks like he's enjoying it.

[Reinholdt]

"There there, ma'am." Butler knows there's really nothing he can say to make the situation better. No advice to offer. So he just rubs her back, hugs her, and gives her the opportunity to vent.

Reinholdt still doesn't know where Lex is so goes and visits the detention center. He might have to bust out one of these days, so reconnaissance is good.

"I've seen her in the Taverna," Turtle says, "But she's weird now. I mean, weirder than she used to be. She still reads all the time though. That hasn't changed. Would you like a steak, Judy?"

Taverna? What's that? How would I get there?

You were the last one, and you shoved me away. I doubt you'd even care anymore if Alek got to me, or Calublufiok killed me.

Sure. Well done, please. She puts the bowl away. Turtle, would you like to be in the wedding party?

"It's not far. Within walking distance. A whole little settlement sprang up while you were away." And Turtle gives him directions.

"The wedding? Um... er.. I'd rather not. I kind of... no... too many bad memories. "

Decker only cries harder when DC speaks to her. "And now I'm cursed," Decker says in a small voice. "I'm scared, Butler."

((Tomorrow, I shall have Randy search for Tessa, to teach him some stuff to do with sucking souls out of people who seemingly don't have them.))

"Cursed ma'am?" He pulls her closer, as if somehow or another his proximity could keep her safe. "I'll do whatever I can to protect you, Decker, ma'am. You have my word ma'am."

DC storms out of the kitchen angrily.

Avatar has been tromping around the Nexus for a while now, more or less oblivious to the blizzard. A few Silver Dragon genes when used properly go a long way as far as that's concerned.

So yes. Tromping.

The tromping eventually brings her to a rather sizable compound. Which of course looks to be an interesting place. And so she heads up to the front door and hauls back one fist. "FalCOWN!"

The fist in question bursts into writhing nightmare-matter as she readies herself to-

"Knock!"

Knock politely with the other hand.

Oh. Yeah. What was I thinking? I understand. She looks a little defeated. Who else could I ask?

[Reinholdt]

Butler will kiss Decker on the forehead. Won't break any curses or anything, but it should be reassuring.

Sounds like she really needs it...

"I'm sorry," Turtle says, a little shamefacedly.

"You can go answer the door, Butler. I'll be okay here," Decker makes a nest in the pile of laundry and curls up to sleep.

[Morty]

Wenomir hears Decker cry after a while, when noone else is speaking at the moment, and goes to check what's wrong.

Butler frowns but knows he has to. "Alright ma'am. I'll be back soon ma'am."

Butler will go answer the door for Avatar. "Hello ma'am. How can I help you today ma'am?"

DC, since no one seemed to care about his sudden exit, enters the rose garden, pulls out a certain remote, which, if you could see it, would be pushing its own buttons, and vanishes in a flash of light.

Wenomir will find what appears to be a thirteen year old girl with devil horns curled up in a ball in the dirty laundry and crying herself to sleep.

"Hiya!" Avatar replies cheerfully to the butler. Or Butler. Or... yeah. Whatever works. "I'm exploring the Nexus! Is this place a private residence?"

She pushes herself up on her tip-toes to peer over Butler's head. "Can I come in?"

[Reinholdt]

"Not entirely private ma'am. Of course you may come in ma'am." Butler will hold the door open for her.

"This is the Good League of Good ma'am. If you're interested in joining ma'am, there are forms right here." He'll point at the stack of forms next to the door. "Or I can take you around to look if you'd like ma'am. Or if you'd prefer you may wander on your own ma'am."

[Rebonack]

"Oooh, a tour! That would be neat!" Avatar grins her trademark Goofy Grin™. "Good league of good, huh? What does a good league of gooder do? I suspect do-gooding."

That seems like a safe enough bet.

She heads on in through the door. The scanners will read her as '404 Error: Alignment not found.'

[Morty]

Um, what's wrong, miss? Wenomir isn't really good at dealing with children.

[Reinholdt]

"Ummm... you know ma'am? I still am not sure ma'am. I think they try to redeem people though ma'am. I'd be glad to show you around ma'am." Butler will take her to all the interesting places, training room, great room, quarters, hot tub room, etc. as detailed on the first page.

He'll avoid the laundry room for obvious reasons.

Don't worry, Turtle. I really do understand. So you won't be abler to even attend the wedding? She bites into the steak. Perfect. She smiles.

"I don't know. I'll try." Turtle says, trying not to watch Judy eat that horrible piece of leather she thinks is a steak.

"I'm Decker," she says cheerfully, despite having a tear stained face.
