Wenomir looks confused. The child smells like a devil, if faintly, but has been allowed here and looks harmless. Then again, devils tend to look harmless at a first glance...

"No, Butler said I could stay here though."

Judy smiles. I hope you can. It won't be the same without you. She takes another bite of her delicious steak.

((I'm suddenly hungry for steak. ))

[Morty]

((I don't think I've ever eaten steak, come to think about it...))
Well, I guess it's okay, then. Devils don't have to be all evil. But why were you crying, if I might ask...

"Because I was sad," Decker says, as if this was the most self-evident thing in the world.

[Rebonack]

Avatar follows Butler along, oohing at everything and touching everything that looks like it isn't supposed to be touched. "They redeem people, huh? But that's it? So... It's sort of a social club? Or a compound community?"

More poking of things!

If Avatar attempts to touch the giant titanium spork over the fireplace, alarms will sound. Otherwise, nothing will interfere with the touching.

She'll see Turtle and Judy in the kitchen.

[Reinholdt]

"Ummm.... yes ma'am." To which question Butler answered is unclear. Probably because he's not really sure if they are a social club or a compound community.

Of course the touching doesn't bother him. "Is there anything I can get you ma'am? Perhaps something to drink or eat ma'am?"

[Morty]

Wenomir frowns a bit, perhaps thinking Decker is making fun of him. Well then, I hope everything will be alright. Wenomir leaves.

Decker curls up in her laundry nest and falls asleep.

[Rebonack]

"Oh! I know! This place is a gated community!"

And lo she spontaneously breaks into song.

"The gated community is where we love to be!
Are shirts are ever pressed and our hearts are filled with glee!
And if you ever visit then you will surely see!
What a lovely bunch we are in our gated unity!"

Then she blinks a few times. "Oooh! What's that?"

And reaches up to poke the giant metal spork.

[Lord Magtok]

Magtok rises out of his deadtime coma, immediately seizing this new breath of life to rattle against his cell's bars with the safety scissors he'd obtained from Butler. The regular ones, the sharp scissors, would have to sit quietly in his pocket for now, out of the sight of anyone who might come near.

The alarms go off! A barrier tries to close in front of the Spork. Turtle leaps up and runs to the fireplace. "Avatar, right? Please don't touch that."

[Reinholdt]

"That's a large metal spork ma'am. Can create stuff out of thin air ma'am." He makes no particular move to stop Avatar. Probably cause he didn't know about that whole don't touch thing.

Alarms should be sounding shortly.

Reinholdt spots Magtok in the cell. "Magtok? What happened to you? What are you doing here?"

[Lex-Kat]

Judy follows Turtle. I'm going down to check on our other prisoner. Somehow, I think he's awake.

[Lord Magtok]

Magtok continues to rattle the bars with a smile.

It doesn't concern you, and it isn't drama-filled or a problem I need help with. I don't quite recall everything that happened before I deadtimed for a few days, but I do remember overhearing DC say a few nasty things about what you've been doing, so I'd stay on this prisoner's good side if I were you and skedaddle.

Judy goes down and sees MAgtok and Reinholdt. Hello.

[Darkcomet]

There's a flash of light from the rose garden. DC's back. He thinks for a moment, and heads for the laundry room.

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt would probably reply with either sighs, glares, and/or snide comments. But then Judy arrived.

"Hello."

[Lord Magtok]

Magtok twirls the scissors on a finger, and drops them back into a pocket before turning to his other visitor with a Hannibal Lector quote.

Hello Clarice. Have the lambs stopped crying yet?

Darkcomet will find Decker asleep in the laundry room.

[Rebonack]

"Eeep!" would be Zee's first reaction to the alarms suddenly going off. Did a pretty good job of surprising her. "Oh, uh... Hi Happy. Sorry about that."

She peers at the spork for a few moments longer. Then smiles at Turtle. "Oh! Do you live in the gated community too?"

[Darkcomet]

The laundry Decker's sleeping in shakes a little.

[happyturtle]

Turtle turns off the alarms. "This is our home. I don't know what a gated community is."

Decker wakes up. And sits up, looking at Darkcomet.

[Darkcomet]

It's done, if you still care.

[Rebonack]

"A gated community is a place where a whole bunch of people live in close proximity under and agreed upon set of rules," Avatar explains. She considers doing so in song, but settles against it. "That's what this place reminds me of."

She grins rather wide. "I'm told you guys redeem people? How's that been working for you?"

[Lex-Kat]

Judy looks confused. No, my name is Judy. How are you doing?

[happyturtle]

"What's done?" she says, rubbing her eyes sleepily.

"Well we don't really have rules. I think of it more as a sanctuary. When we started, the idea was to give those of us who were former evildoers a place where we could be surrounded by people who were trying to encourage us and teach us by example. But lately... well, lately, so many people are trying to kill us that it's become a lot more of a fortress than that."

"For me and my husband, redemption has worked out very well. We've never been happier. I can't speak for anyone else. That's sort of between each person and their own soul, isn't it?"

[Darkcomet]

Vidalia and I aren't going to fight anymore.

[Lord Magtok]

Magtok pauses for a moment to think, absentmindedly taking the real scissors out of his robes and tossing it repeatedly up into the air with his real hand.

A bit like a caged bird, really. Not a big bird, like a flamingo or ostrich or penguin, mind you. More of a songbird, a lithe symbol of freedom. Maybe a magpie, seeing as my name is Magtok, and the both of us like shiny things.
