Well, this is more to do with mutinous crew, who outnumbered and outgunned her. Plus, blame the navigator.

No, no it doesn't. If she had dumped the infected but still cognizant overboard once she realized the infection transmitted through bite, like as soon as the guy was bit in sickbay, she wouldn't have had to worry about her crew *getting* infected aside from those two. Maybe three if someone was bit in the take down of the non-cognizant infected woman, but not many more.
Yes, it is a brutal solution, but she has shown herself more than able to take such measures.

I said devious, not smart. Or particularly honest. Did you notice that she actually lied to the demons when she made her deal? She told them "I'm not allowed to touch anything else." "Touch nothing else" if the key were in the middle of a pile could have made the quest impossible and is the sort of "letter of the law" conundrum demons would use, but in fact it's not what the Naga told her. Her commands was only "Leave everything else" and that's a lot easier.

Had she thrown the boarding party overboard as SOP (Adina even asked if she was going to) that would have been better for the crew, but returning to port without Princess Adina(*) could still have had long-term bad consequences for herself.
