Re: The Chronicles of Jakwin: Child of The Dragon
Kipling
WhispersThat sounds like a good idea it may give us insight into their future actions and develop a sense of who are ally the orc is, I can't see a thing in this darkness though, maybe they will have torches at the docks
If Mug follows them Kipling stays close to Mug if not he goes to bed and remembers to ask the orc about it in the morning.

Mug: Assuming you follow them, and you don't want them to see or hear you, roll a Move Silently check and a Hide check.
Kilen: I'll handle your roll once the others catch up to you.
Doruk: You are close enough to see her with your Low-Light Vision. You guessed it; roll a Move Silently check and a Hide check. And also a Listen check.

Re: The Chronicles of Jakwin: Child of The Dragon
Romarosa quietly gets up as the others start to leave the inn, having silently observed what went on his curiosity had been ignited, and in his book no cat had been killed by the aforementioned.
Snooping about oft turned to be useful, and by the smell of it, this case it might even prove to be profitable. If this little nightly adventure did not yet yield the results he wanted, there was always the job-offer on the morrow by the docks.
Picking up his spear, flute and bow, he subtly left the inn right after Kipling and Mug, trying to stay as unseen as possible while at the same time trying to see as much as possible.

Romarosa: (Mug and Kipling were already outside, but you could have followed Doruk out). You lose him as soon as he walks outside. Roll another spot check or go back in and forget about it?
Everyone else: The girl turns around as if she hears something, but doesn't see anything. She continues down to the docks and starts walking more stealthily as she approaches Dock 3. She sneaks by the sleeping guards (two of Loki's men sitting on barrels) and gets quietly onto the "Beautiful Dreamer."

Re: The Chronicles of Jakwin: Child of The Dragon
SpoilerDeckmaster: If these actions of Harri cause problems to your storyline etc, please ignore them. Just trying to introduce my PC a bit late
Harri
A white light appears close by (behind the girl). It's emnating from a wooden staff that a young slender male, dark haired human is carrying. Of a bit below average height and dressed in a linen moss green cloak, brown tunic and pale blue pants he has a thoughtfull expression on his face and totally ignores the girl as he passes her by...
"I shouldn't have sold that infusion for such a cheap price..." he mutters to himself "Yes, I know I got it for free of the land, but society is a meterialistic world...and I need to survive in it..."

Romarosa: Suddenly you see a boat at the docks burst into flames.
Harri: That's impossible. She's already on the boat. Which just burst into flames, by the way.
Mug: You are almost back to the tavern when the boat bursts into flame.
Kipling: You see the light...and the boat bursting into flames.
Doruk: They hear you and wake up. They stand and order you to halt. Suddenly, the boat bursts into flames.

Re: The Chronicles of Jakwin: Child of The Dragon
The girl nearly knocks Harry over, but he manages to keep his feet.
"Don't worry;" she says to Mug as he runs up. "There's no one on board, I checked."
When Kipling tries to help her, she says, "don't worry, I'm fine. It's those Royal Guard bastards who have a problem."
When she sees Loki and his men running up, she quickly runs away, quickly disappearing into the night.
"What in the name of The Great Abyss happened here?" asks Loki.
"There was some girl that ran off the boat," said one of the guards. "I think she set it on fire. I think these people were helping her. We saw this Orc sneaking up to the boat as well."
"And what were you doing?" said Loki. "Sleeping? I'm surrounded by morons." He looks over everyone else. "Well? What do you have to say for yourselves?"The Chronicles of Jakwin A 3.5 D&D Campaign Setting.

Re: The Chronicles of Jakwin: Child of The Dragon
Doruk descides honesty is the best policiy, and speak very clearly and slowly. I followed the girl down from the Tavern. So was very elusive, and moved quietly. She snuck past the guards and I tried to follow. I am not quite as stealthy, and I did not she what she was doing. It is not evident that she was an arsonist.

Kipling
I was doing the same as our friend herepointing to the orc I think we should find out what we can in the morning and then we should make judgement on whether the girl was the culprit, until then we should not make hasty assumptions as to whether she did or did not do any thing here. Although something is going on here i'm afraid it must have something to do with our journey, You didn't leave anything important out did you?
Kipling thinks of what she could have done and stands straight and tall ready for ANYTHING

Re: The Chronicles of Jakwin: Child of The Dragon
I am thinking this is not a court case; The Girl is the culprit, and probably the Tratior you were looking for, or at least sympathatic. We can possibly stil lfind here if we shut off the town, gaurd all entrances and exists. Spread the description, and offer a reward. Was she Staying at an Inn?

Re: The Chronicles of Jakwin: Child of The Dragon
Kilen
Gazing from his room window, looking on the sites of the settlement, Kilen reflects upon the events of the day. Well that was rather impulsive of me. Gone and signed myself up as an adventurer. I've barely even left Master Barley's instruction. Oh well. Haven't seen much of the world since I began studying Illusions.
His musing are interrupted as a sudden flash toward the docks draws his attention. Oh my. That certainly can't be good. come on, Aurelius. The small weasels leaps into a pocket in Kilen's cloak as he heads out the tavern and makes his way toward the docks. As he draws near the source of the light, he sticks to the shadows and tries to stay quiet.

Re: The Chronicles of Jakwin: Child of The Dragon
(OOC: Oops, forgot to color the dialogue in my last post. Oh well.)
Kilen: A girl comes walking up to you. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. A boat down there is on fire. I don't think anyone was hurt though. By the way, a word to the wise: I wouldn't trust Loki if I were you. If you want to be on the side of the real heroes, gather as many as you can and meet me by the docks before dawn. Don't tell Loki you saw me and don't let him catch you telling anyone else.
Kilen, roll a sense motive check.

Oh, no, this isn't the work of our traitor. I think I know who it is. A known criminal and dissenter named Alexia. She used to be part of the Avenlo Guard, until she was exiled. Obviously she's working with the traitor. My intelligence told me she was in the area, but I didn't think she'd try anything. She's delayed us, but not by much.
