Matt drove a Humvee in the mud.It was raining and about midnight."God this is horrible..I hate finding the base at night."A guy in the back seat said."You get used to it...i guess....."Matt said.Then they saw it.The secret entrance to the secret underground base outside new york city.

Bad intro but i couldn't think of one.....because the beginning gonna happen in the role play not the intro.If you wanna know what this thread is about wait..=P.

Matt was sleeping on his queen sized bed.There were 3 loud crashes one right after another.Matt woke up and the house started to shake."EARTHQUAKE!"He ran out of his room into his kitchen and under the wooden table.It stopped."There isn't any earthquakes in New York city?"he asked himself.The police radio in the living room went on."This is unit 119....a huge thing crashed on a bus in the middle of the street over here..its leaning on a skyscraper..i need paramedics and firemen on the scene..."

History: After a successful career in the UN Peacekeeping Forces Jake returned to his country of birth and found a job in the fire department. His experience with bombs and explosions of all kinds got him promoted quickly to a sort of specialist status, which meant a better paycheck, but no relief from other duties. Jake has lived a dangerous life and only joined the fire department when he was fifty years of age. Before that he moved around the entire world, more often than not to the most dangerous areas, helping people. Jake has no family left, except a daughter he doesn't know in India, who must be about twenty now. The past seven years he has quickly risen in rank, but found life outside of the department difficult. Jake lives for his job, and doesn't really know what to do with his spare time, so he just hangs around the building. Today is his second to last day before his retirement.
Appearance: Jake is tanned and has leathery skin, worn down by sandstorms and age. His face is wrinkled and stern, his eyes a bright blue. Jake's hair is white, as well as what little hair on his body that hasn't been singed off yet. He has an irregular moustache and short hair. He always wears his fireman's suit, even outside of work, though he does take off the bright yellow jacket and hard top hat and replace them with a thick woollen sweater and a baseball cap.
Other: Lots of people know Jake, as he's the kind of guy who helps out the neighbours when they're painting their fence, or the guy who runs the hotdogstand at the fair, but they don't really know him, as he's not that sociable. Jake has lots of war buddies, lots of them dead, and yet another lot of them still alive, and he's saved most of their hides once or twice. He probably knows every military commander in the country that isn't just a pencil pusher.

The sirens hooted, and Jake woke up. He'd been sleeping in a corner in the firedepartmentbuilding. The radio crackled. "This is unit 119... A huge thing crashed on a bus in the middle of the street over here... It's leaning on a skyscraper... I need paramedics and firemen on the scene..."
Jake checked his watch. Oh, great, three o' clock at night. He didn't even have the night shift, what was he doing here? He'd retire in two days, for god's sake, he'd have to learn not to hang around here like this. He'd have to learn to spend his time with other things, like those fitness videos he'd bought himself. He shivered. He'd tried them once and the whole thing had just been empty, and appalling.

He threw on his yellow coat and rang the bell. He could hear the others getting ready upstairs. A huge thing... sounded like parts of buildings coming down, billboards maybe. In which case it almost had to be a bombing. They'd need his expertise, even if he wasn't on duty. He got into the firetruck and started the engine. They'd be leaving as soon as the others got downstairs.

Matt got his gear on and grabbed his M-16 and went out the door to a waiting Humvee.He got in the passenger side and they drove to the scene.They had to get out A FEW blocks a way because if the backup.But he could see it from there.There was a large metal tube looking thing leaning on the building...it looked...almost like...a space ship?Matt threw that thought away."It couldn't be"

The fire truck stopped at the scene, not able to get any closer due to a massive traffic jam. Jake swore and jumped out of the car, putting on his hard hat. Some of the others jumped out too, taking the hose with them to hook up to a hydrant. Jake made his way through the cars, most abandoned by the scared drivers. Up ahead was a massive behemoth of a thing, sticking out of an apartment building.
"Dear god..." Jake exclaimed as he stopped dead. He didn't know what that thing was, or where it had come from, but it gave him the creeps. He felt a hand on his shoulder.
"Oh, Dave, it's you"
"Are you okay, Jake? It's not even your shift you know, and you're retiring in two days. You can go home if you like"
Jake looked at the thing again. He gripped his axe tighter.
"No. Those people need my help"

Matt walked to the firetruck."I need the fire department to go in the building and clear all the people out.The police will try to get the cars out of the way and we'll try to figure out what this is."There was steam coming out of the thing. When Matt got closer he noticed weird symbols written all over the ship."Maybe this is Chinese?"The driver said."Na why'd they launch a missile thing on us?"Another Marine said."Stop babbling and get these civilians out of here."

Jake headed straight past the mysterious thing, and ran up to the doors of the apartment building. Some marine was yelling in the distance, from back at the firetruck.
"I need the fire department to go in the building and clear all the people out. The police will try to get the cars out of the way and we'll try to figure out what this is"
Jake almost laughed. Get the cars out of the way? People left! They weren't sticking around near that thing. Well, not close enough to be harmed anyways, but maybe close enough to watch. Most of the cars were abandoned by now, but off course, this was New York, and no-one had left their keys. Disaster or no disaster, they weren't having some hoodlum steal their car. Jake tried the door, but it was locked and he had no time to try every bell in the building. He smashed the but of his axe through the glass, stuck his arm through, wrapped in his thick coat, and opened the door from the inside. Dave and a couple of others followed Harland in, knowing that the old man was now running on instinct. They knew he always knew what to do, but Jake himself wasn't too sure anymore. This was like nothing he'd ever encountered before. Nothing in the building seemed to be on fire, not on the first floor at least, but Jake opened up the control panel of the elevator anyways and locked it down, after asking checking through the intercom if anyone was inside. Then he took the stairs. From what he'd been able to tell outside, the thing was leaning into the thirty-fourth floor. That'd be quite the walk, or run rather. Jake's feet pounded heavily on the stairs, and fifty-seven year old heard pounded with them.

Matt was looking at the cars. He mutterd under his breath.."idiots..."The radio said,"The roads are blocked everywhere....we need to do something...."

The person paused...."Oh my god..."there was a large screeching noise....Then the one here started making it..it was loud....it hurt...a drop of blood formed in matts ears...

Jake had just arrived on the thirty-third floor when the screeching started. The men behind him screamed, but Jake just bit his lip. The sound seemed to be coming from outside. One of the glass panes in the stairhall shattered, revealing a firehose, and setting off the alarm. The sprinklers in the ceiling went on on the thirty-second to thirty-fourth floor. Jake swore and ran up to the thirty-fourth floor, where the thing outside made contact with the building.
