Kuma Da, remember to tell me exactly what you are rolling as well as what for. What attribute and skill are you using? I don't know what you rolled to unstick the ambulance. I'd say a Difficult Strength Test, which is what I think you did.

Technically you should've used DEX instead of STR for a kick, but you were also sort of propelling it away from you instead of attacking so I'll let it slide. Since you are a beast of a man, you should also roll damage for you kick.

    D4 x STR+1

Which brings me to something else. In this game, should I roll damage or should you guys? What do you prefer?

Emmett gropes around in the darkness of the car garage, which stinks of gasoline and...blood. It's not a pleasant combination of odours. After a couple minutes of blind searching, while Marshal maneuvers the ambulance into place, Emmett manages to find a switch.

In the darkness, he thinks he can spot the form of the Infected he just kicked. It's on the floor, still breathing but obviously seriously injured. Expecting it to charge, he's surprised to see it crawl away into a doorway.

The mechanical garage door begins to open slowly. The cranking of gears up ahead and the slow groan of old metal all seem dangerously loud in the cramped confines of the garage.

The scene outside is eerily calm. Save for the excessive amount of litter, newspapers and debris on the road, and two crudely parked cars with the car doors on the driver's side still open, everything is silent and calm. There are some black smears on the road that lead into shadowed alleys. They are either blood smears of tire burns.

Not wanting to linger any longer in the parking garage, Emmett takes the wheel and guides the ambulance out onto the streets. He takes care to keep away from the yawning mouths of the alleys and follows the road signs, looking for the shortest route out of town.

For about five minutes the driving is smooth sailing, the city eerily quiet for an afternoon. The streets are barren save for a couple abandoned vehicles. No Infected, no dead bodies, no sounds. Compared to the sheer terror of the original attack on the community center, it's hard to understand how the city could be so...calm.

At the first major intersection the ambulance comes across, it's immediately clear that driving out of the city isn't an option. As far as the eye can see, the main road is littered with abandoned vehicles - some of them in massive piles of twisted wreckage, others just left, engines still on. The smell of engine fumes and the metallic taint of blood linger in the air. Still no Infected. Still no survivors.

Turning the car around, Emmett drives slowly along the abandoned roads, looking for bicycles or a hardware store.

The longer the three men stay on the road, the more it seems that being the sole source of light and sound in a city overrun by the violent Infected is not a smart idea. There hasn't been a sound since the attack in the garage.

Emmett soon spots a small hardware store close to the garage exit. The weathered awning outside declares it 'Al's Home Hardware'. The lights are still on inside, and a flickering neon sign establishes it as OPEN FOR BUSINESS.

Once inside, he picks a likely aisle and darts down it, looking for an axe or a crowbar or anything heavy enough to swing.

Can you both roll Perception rolls? So roll a d10 plus your Perception, and plus your Notice skill if you have it. If you don't roll within 12 hours of this post I will roll for you.

Example. If my character had a Perception of 2 and a Notice skill of 2, I would roll = [roll]d10[/roll]+4

If he had a Perception skills of 2 but no Notice skill, I would roll = [roll]d10[/roll]+2

You have to get a 9 or better to succeed.

Don't worry about it Galliun, but the more frequent you post the better. Twice a day is good.
