    fear not, good sir - if its what ya character would do then i consider it fair game

    in all fairness - dead bodies/pools of blood/glowing red eyes... its probably evil and we're meant to squash it with as many sharp/bludgeony/slashy things as we can find to stick in it

    young logan is still a bit niave for now, but give him time and im sure he'll quickly realise the world is full things that need to be hit first and questioned later

    Logan's attemtps at diplomacy are met with nothing but a feral sounding growl, though the creature (that appears to be a wolf) doesn't move from behind the statue.

    Jay winds up, throwing an incredible shot, sticking her javelin into the creature. It is met with a yelp of pain, but it stays still, as if waiting for something. Albect's bolt ricochettes off the statue, unable to match the feat of Jay's javelin.

    Dirk hurries forward to keep up with his advancing companions.

    [[Are you friendly, or are you hungry?]] He yaps in Draconic, followed by Undercommon, followed at last by Abyssal. After speaking in the tongue of demons, he shoots glances at his companions, wondering if they're judging him.

    Suddenly inspired by what he just said, he pulls a pouch of rations and throws it towards the creature, hoping to land it as close as possible.

    Surprisingly, he manages to throw it a mere 10-15 feet from the statue.

    [I'm not sure if this is mechanically legal, but sifting through a backpack while running isn't exactly impossible, and you can draw a weapon as part of a move if your base attack bonus is +1 or higher.] If not, I guess I'll throw it next round after moving a bit closer.

    Sorry for the delay guys. My brother came round yesterday and asked if he could use the computer for 20 minutes. He was on it for the rest of the blinking day. *sigh*


    After hearing Jayletina shout, Lethe's eyes snapped toward the statue before flicking towards the two prone bodies. She licked her lips. Gods, that doesn't look good.

    She started towards the two bodies while firing her crossbow at the glowing eyes.

    (No worries. Like I said, one post a day is what I expect and we're well beyond that.)

    Lethe's first shot also ricochettes away, carroming off the statue as well. Albect's next shot finds its mark, dropping the animal in its hiding place. Everyone moves forward slowing a little as the apparent threat is dropped.

    As the wolf looking creature drops, another howl picks up, and a second one charges out from behind the other statue, closing on Lethe. Letting another shot loose, she sticks a bolt into it, but it doesn't stop its charge. Snapping at her, the wolf misses. Lethe the Rogue, lives up to her name.

    From behind a gravestone next to the mausoleum, another wolf, this one darker and larger, with intelligent looking eyes, lopes forward, using the gravestones as cover.

    ((I should've moved 8 squares forward - before lethe moved forward the second time. - so i should be on line with the wolf most towards us infact right next to it on its left. - assuming i get an AoO as it charges Lethe - if i don't and you want me to stay where I am ill just delete all this.

    AoO - (1D20+6)[18] - vs its AC-4 assuming it actually charged (-2 from flanking)
    Damage - (1D8+4)[5]

    Turn 3.

    If the wolf is still up after my AoO ill attack that, if not ill move diagonally left and up the map 2 squares - 15ft and left 1 square - 20ft total and attack the other wolf - same rolls for both depending upon whether the first is alive after my AoO.

    Attack - (1D20+6)[12] - this is Wolfs AC-2 if its the one with lethe, otherwise its the clever looking one.

    (So, after much confusion, we made it!)

    Jay steps in, taking a chunk of hide from the offending wolf. Coupled with Lethe and Logan, the wolf falls, wimpering before going limp.

    Albect leaps forward, letting another bolt fly at the big black looking wolf. The bolt sinks deep in the creatures eye, dropping it in its tracks. Anotehr few moments of silence, and nothing else moves.

    (Combat over. 150 EXP per. Make sure to remove ammo from your character sheets.)

    "Uh, nice work everyone. Let's keep going." He mutters, and hurries to check on the bodies, wondering if they are still alive.

    First walking over to the very first engaged wolf, she bends down to investigate whether the javelin is still intact ((Normally a 50/50 chance - DM's call))

    Then she walks up to stand guard over Logan and the two bodies - facing into the crypt assuming someone wlil take the back.
