Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
I'm disputing Dekopin because of the nature of the Plane of Incarnum, not because I don't want someone messing up the plan.
That said, I too wholeheartedly support getting the big fight done so FI can start. Keeping the plane lets us do that much faster than otherwise, and given the power level of the Shades it's justified that we'd need something like it to beat them anyway.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
I'M HERE!!!
Look, Keris, this is godmodding. The Plane of Incarnum destroys souls. It does not matter whether you are a god (which, by the way, is totally annoying)! The plot has changed, and frankly, I personally believe that the rules need changing! This whole 'if it isn't a comic, it's non-canon' thing is incredibly annoying.
There is no way you can survive it. The Plane of Incarnum isn't just a plane which a dangerous element, it's a plane which nothing can survive. Not gods, not demon lords, NOTHING. The very souls are destroyed.
And as for 'disappointing and not epic enough', then find another way to fix that! Rand was pretty close to doing so when you went and godmodded like that! It was incredibly underwhelming! Not to mention that creating a portal to the Plane of Incarnum is pretty damn epic.
You are abusing the rules of ABR. This is a serious point in the plot, not something to just 'turn off' with some idiotic godmodding.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
A Demon can be perfectly intelligent, they are just chaotic.
The thing about the machinists is that, rather than consuming souls to make themselves personally more powerful (To become bigger and badder types of devils), they use them to fuel machines, which they view as just as good if not better than being a bigger and badder devil. Why do you need to ability to punch through a wall when you can just blow that wall up from half a mile away.
Also, their tanks shoot shells (I'll draw some at some point), not cannonballs, but whatever, that's too minor a detail for me to care about.

X2: Will you mind if the base looks kinda like a stylised stargate?
Also, does anyone wanna be "The Doc" that operates the computers at base? If not, he'll just end up being an NPC in the next comic.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
Frankly, wouldn't planar journeymen, such as Oliver, want to go to the plane of Incarnum just because they want to say "I went to the plane of incarnum"? It's like the guy who made a piece of bacon able to cut through steel by using pure oxygen, sure it isn't practical, but goddamn it it's awesome.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
I posted the comic but accidentally had exported only a single speech balloon to bitmap (it was selected) so I just went and fixed/posted the actual two-paneller. Enjoy!

Nah... I'm just a talker.
EDIT: My home base character will be Ted, the scruffy janitor.
EDIT 2: With these two plots running at once the end of the episode will be hilarious.
X2: So how'd it go
HB: Okay
X2: Anything happen?
HB: Not much, you?
X2: No...
HB: Okay then.Last edited by X2; 2009-04-17 at 07:13 PM.

Just realised I hadn't told my Planehopper's name more that once: It's Katya Hunt.
