Warlocks and Rapid Fire [D&D 3.5]
Can Warlocks use the Rapid Fire feat in conjunction with their Eldritch Blast ability to get multiple attacks/round.
Also, can they take feats like Weapon Focus or Weapon Specialisation? How about Improved Critical? - Does Eldritch Blast have a Crit rating?

They can take Weapon Focus: Ranged Touch Attack, and Specialisation if they have Fighter or Warblade levels. Improved Crit, too, the normal crit rating is 20 x2.

I have no idea about Rapid Fire, actually. What is it?

Re: Warlocks and Rapid Fire [D&D 3.5]
He means Rapid Shot I think. And the answer is no. It's a standard action, Rapid Shot only occurs when you take a full attack action. Eldritch blasts are never an attack action (though glaive is a full round action that gives multiple attacks, it's still different).

Re: Warlocks and Rapid Fire [D&D 3.5]
Eldritch Blast takes a standard action to use. Rapid Shot allows you to take an extra attack when you use a full-attack action, which is a full-round action. You cannot combine a standard action with a full-round action, you cannot full-attack with Eldritch Blast, so you cannot use Rapid Shot with Eldritch Blast.

Re: Warlocks and Rapid Fire [D&D 3.5]
Perhaps you mean Rapid shot Instead? Easy mistake if it was.
Anyway, probably not.
Normally, a spell-like ability duplicates a spell and thus takes a specific action to cast, Eldritch blast does not, and so it must be assumed that it takes a standard action, which is the recommended default.
You cannot take an activity which is a standard action and use it as part of a full attack unless specifically allowed. Thus, using the standard assumption on how eldritch blast is supposed to work, it cannot be used in a full attack, and thus rapid shot cannot be used.
YMMV.

Re: Warlocks and Rapid Fire [D&D 3.5]
However you can take Quickened Spell-Like Ability from Monster feats as you'd meet all the pre-reqs. That allows 2 casts of E.Blast per round but I think it requires around level 12-ish.
