Re: Tales of Kyou II: The Darkness (Game Thread)
Heh. If Recaiden is telling the truth, then the wolves are certainly getting their moneys worth out of their abilities here. They force us to lynch a neutral, then get us to waste 2 days lynching a villager.
I really really hope he is a wolf.Avatar by Simius

Re: Tales of Kyou II: The Darkness (Game Thread)
People (And by people, I more specifically mean Lex Kat ) don't seem to understand how the wolf day bane works...
If a day bane is successful there is no day bane the next day. Recaiden is perfectly able to be lynched.Last edited by Selrahc; 2009-05-31 at 06:21 PM.

I wonder what will make them laugh harder... if we spend three days lynching a villager? Or if we spend two days starting to lynch a wolf and don't finish the job?

I'm not sure either. I'm just suggesting the two possibilities.

Re: Tales of Kyou II: The Darkness (Game Thread)
I'm leaning towards Uliquorra for this. He beats you on mobility (sonido), you're pretty close on offensive long- to medium range...
But I can't really say for certain. Problem with comparing different universes is that they have different power scales. The real fact is that Uliquorra is up there on the power scale in a high-powered universe.

Re: Tales of Kyou II: The Darkness (Game Thread)
Yet again, another dark night. Nothing moves, nobody dares go anywhere. Everyone knows that the spirits are hunting. But there is one who doesn't care...
A breath of wind caresses her dress as she stands on the balcony, looking into the darkness. She has cried, it can be seen on her face. Her beautiful face holds a sadness that would break the heart of most. She just looks into the night, and the wind blows.
She shivers slightly, but the cold doesn't even reach her consciousness. The movement is just a reflex, something her body does, like eating and walking. Her mind is somewhere else, locked in a battle against the crushing despair. She keeps expecting him to appear from somewhere, to walk next to her like always and make her smile with his jokes. Or he'd be serious and talk with her about all kinds of things, about his beliefs, about what they've seen...
Then she remembers his cold, frozen body again. Tears start flowing from her eyes. Why did it happen? The world couldn't be like this. It had to be a dream, just some foolish joke. Why had they found each other just to lose it again so soon? How could life be so cruel?
She shivered again. The others were still fighting, sworn to destroy the enemy. But what would it matter? She didn't really care about it anymore. She didn't know why she was even there. His eyes... he had always acted so tough, but he had been broken, fragile, on the inside. Why, just as it had started mending... Why!
She didn't realize she had spoken the last word out loud. But an answer came from behind her, the chilly wind finally getting through to her.
"Hello there..."
****
It was Arik who found his sister's body. And though he was able to capture her soul and protect it from being trapped by the spirits, he couldn't restore life to her body.
Not yet. But I will. I only need more power. More power.
"Cessie.... no! It's not possible! She was the strongest of us. She should have been a match for the ice whore." Hope cried.
"I think," Arik said gravely. "That she simply didn't want to survive badly enough."
SpoilerUncle Festy was killed during the night, he was Cessie (Seer).
Arik now counts as a neutral.

Re: Tales of Kyou II: The Darkness (Game Thread)
Hum. Wolves are lucky it wasn't Hope's turn.
I'm getting that sinking feeling now. Let's go for Recaiden anyway. Because if he was a wolf, they would have certainly done what they have done. And if he was a villager, then they may not have. Slightly higher chance of him being a wolf than anyone else.Avatar by Simius

Re: Tales of Kyou II: The Darkness (Game Thread)
Well this isn't looking good. For me personally or for all of us. They got the equivalent of 2 kills, one of whom is the seer.
But we know Jontom's a neutral. Killing him won't help us. Killingpondshadow, though...

Like pondshadow, I believe that
happyturtlehas a role, and it may be that of a wolf. If not, and there's actually a chance of her getting lynched, I'm sure there were some seer proxies who could say otherwise.

Re: Tales of Kyou II: The Darkness (Game Thread)
Umm, hoping Team Evil wouldn't kill Cessie while I used my other abilities to try and figure out who's who.
I found a villager. Oh well.
I was really hoping that Uncle Festy was safe. It's a long story, but to be honest I didn't even think he was Cessie for a long time. I thought FC was trying to trick me into doing something stupid. I only found out that Uncle Festy actually was Cessie and that FC had actually told me the truth the other night when I used Griever's power to confirm what he had told me. Previous to that I was sure Uncle Festy was just a villager.
Now for me to contribute.
1) Banjo1985 is Mino.
2) Both FC and Kyohyen (very briefly at Murska's request) have told me that there's a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes (but not what or who).
3) The wolves have been having a colossally high success rate, high enough to suggest that information is being leaked. And it isn't me because FC doesn't trust me and neither, it appears does anyone else.
4) Mino, aka Banjo1985 has been in contact with FC, and presumably other masons, since early days. FC trusted him in ways he never trusted me.
I believe that Mino has been feeding information on good guy roles to the wolves since the start. He may not be a wolf, but we need to eradicate the threat before he does any more damage.
And yes, I do have a vested interest in getting him killed. But if not Banjo, who else is feeding information to the bad guys? I didn't want Cessie dead and besides no-one trusts me enough to give me any information. It's not me. The only other person I can think of is Mino.

Re: Tales of Kyou II: The Darkness (Game Thread)
Who else is feeding information to the bad guys?
Jontom, that's who.
This is clearly a play to throw us off the suspicion that it is he himself that is feeding information to the wolves. He has more to benefit from doing this than I do. As long as one of the five people I have to protect remains alive at the end of the game, I win, to me only my five charges are all that are important, all of which are still alive I might add.
I last heard from FC at the end of Day 2, when he chastised me for givingaway my role to the masses. I never had contact with any masons, and the kills are coming as much of a surprise to me as everyone else. I haven't heard from a single wolf, and wouldn't get into contact if I did. Why should I? The possibility of all my charges dying by the end of the game is now quite low, so why jeopardise my own survival?
Jontom, on the other hand, has had plenty to gain from these kills. Each one is feeding him with more powers. What happens when Cessie needs protection? She dies, and Jontom gets a nice new power. I'm sorry but, he is now too powerful, and I'm very sure that he's working with the rules. These powers are only helping the bad guys,Jontommust go.Last edited by banjo1985; 2009-06-03 at 05:49 AM.

Re: Tales of Kyou II: The Darkness (Game Thread)
Ooh, a PM full of lies and misleading information. Let's break it down shall we?
And some of which might well be wolves!!! Do we know that none of the people Banjo is trying to protect is a wolf? No, we don't! Unless I mis-read the rules.

You're also assuming that I would know who any of the people getting killed are. I don't deny that the deaths of the others have helped me a lot, but the only person whose identity I knew was Cessie and I didn't want her to die.
I'm sorry but, he is now too powerful, and I'm very sure that he's working with the rules. These powers are only helping the bad guys, Jontom must go.
On another point, if I was in league with the wolves, I would have made sure that they attacked Cessie while I was protecting her and then again the following night when I wasn't. It would have made me look good and the wolves would get a kill the following night while I have a great excuse that I wasn't expecting them to attack Cessie again, I was expecting them to attack me and so was baning myself. I have no communications with the wolves at all. They clearly don't trust me any more than the masons do.

Please re-read the rules. I don't get Cessie's power. Cessie dying is nothing but a disaster for me. I lose a sister and a potential victory condition. I really did not want Cessie to die.Avatar by Simius
