Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
I will not be able to get online for tommorows session at all. I'm going out for a rather cultured night in the big city. If anyone should feel the need to play long into the night (past 11:30 pm GMT-6) maybe our paths will cross.

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
Your slacking off Winter.
So tomorrow is are next melee session. I will still be a bit late probably, but hope to see you all there.
Really hope you are feeling better :) and that being sick(if you are still feeling under the weather) will not inhibit your meleeing skills or your ability to attend the session.

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
Where is everyone? It's a day off! Everyone needs to play extra videogames on days like this. Plus, it's getting rainy outside. Don't make me regret the decision to play games today instead of the weekend.

Phew, almost forgot to post the reminder again. That'd have been, like, twice in a row.
Anyhow, here's the reminder: Tomorrow's our next custom map session. Hope to see you there.LGBTitP Supporter

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
The famed Winter Triple-post, I havn't seen one in months! *gets out binoculars and tries not to scare it away*
More related I feel like we have made strides to diverify our map list, and I thinkthat we might have enticed some people into SWAT, even if we forwent the training period in the lower difficulties.

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
I think it's more a case of the easy difficulties being far too easy, the higher difficulties are much more entertaining. I don't think we've had many people who don't like the map, just that think it's boring due to the lower difficulties.

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
Reminder: Custom session tomorrow.
Alas, most likely I won't be able to show up; going to visit my parents tomorrow, who are in the process of getting new furniture, painting the walls, etc., so I'm not even sure if I'll have an Internet connection, much less a place to actually play at.
I'll be back for the melee session on Sunday though.LGBTitP Supporter

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
Hey Blaze, thats absolutly fine. We meet on fridays at about 4 PM eastern (GMT -5). We usually play for awhile depending on how everyone is feeling. We meet in our own channel (op gitp) and if you hang around during the week some of us are active not on fridays. Also, if you ever get the itch to play some melee, that is the core War3 gameplay, then be sure to check out the group that meets on sunday.

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
Hm, well if he can't join our team maybe he can join our group... we've never really competed against anyone else... though I wouldn't doubt us being able to put toghether a pretty killer RvS or CF team.

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
Ha! So there is a custom games "team" that has been opposing me at every turn.
... Too bad they're not more interested in CfG.Last edited by nooblade; 2010-02-09 at 10:08 PM.

So, reminder: Tomorrow is our next custom map session. I hope to see you all there (and, if the past couple of days are any indication, there is a fair chance I will, for once, not be too sleepy to actually participate, like at the melee session last Sunday).

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
I apologize for not having been at the last... trillion or so sessions. Problem is, I can't install the new patch. Whenever I try, it gives me this error:
Registry error loading key 'Warcraft III\InstallPath'

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
Have you, by any chance, moved around your WarCraft III by just cut+pasting it, rather than a proper uninstall/install?
Anyhow, if simply reinstalling the game doesn't fix the problem, try this:
1. Click on your Start menu.
2. Click on Run
3. Type 'regedit'.
4. In the window that opens then, click on Edit->Find (or just press Ctrl+F)
5. Search for 'WarCraft III'. Keep searching until the list in the window shows an 'InstallPath' entry (you will likely get a lot of results that have nothing to do with what you are searching for first). Check whether the value to the right of this entry is the proper path at which you have installed the game. If not, fix it. Keep going until you are through through the entire registry. Under no circumstances change anything else.
If that doesn't help, I'm out of ideas, too, but maybe somebody else can help...LGBTitP Supporter

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
Just to help you a bit with what WW said, cause it really can be a pain to navigate the regedit if you don't know what to look for, the InstallPath is situated in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainement\Warcraft III
But really, uninstalling/reinstalling the game should fix it.Cynan

Also, sorry for my outburst and abrupt leave yesterday. I was rather upset by the unbalanced team-ups and my concerns about it being ignored, but that's no excuse for such a reaction. My apologies.LGBTitP Supporter

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
The important thing is that noone involved had an accident involving the amputation of their extremities. Or something. I guess?
But yeah, balancing for CfG matches (if we even have any more) is going to be more difficult than I figured.
