GLoG XXIV: This Ain't No House of Cards

Oh boy cake and milk a truly delicious and healthy meal. Larcino will eat it and drink it as he sees fit. Occasionally playing the little trick with it.. like telekinetically pulling a piece towards him or juggling a piece of cake before it reaches his mouth and other such shenanigans

Daisuke waits while Dani leaves the library.

He sighs. He needs to have control over his Inner Hollow, and he needs to have it before he actually harms somone.

He's just hoping that Sam was right.

He goes to the security area and finds a security bot, giving it whispered instructions and going down to the detention area with it.

Once there, he goes into the strongest cell and sits down on the floor. The security bot, along with about another 100, are outside. The door is sealed.

Until I give Daisuke's next action, GLoG will be shaking. You decide when.

Luckily, the ranks of the hundred brave little drones contain not only the Sec-Is and the Sec-IIs, but the shinier and all together spiffier Sec-IIIs, built specifically to take down high powered characters. Speaking of which, I need to create pages for them. But for now, here's a quick guide.

Sec-I: Laser and Warspork, used for normal security duties.
Sec-II: Lasers and Rapid-Fire weapons, used for heavy duty security.
Sec-III: Magic Suppression Rays (not the same as Anti-magic), Cold Iron/Silver nets, used for locking down supernatural forces.

All are, of course, inherently useless, being NPCs.

Yeah. About a hundered Sec-III's are currently outside the door to the cell that Daisuke's in.

A servant drone floats/walks up to Pheonix.

Reassuring Statement: We are currently assisting a member of GLoG to control one of his powers that has recently developed.

I don't think the base has that many. Probably about 20, tops. They are quite powerful, despite their useless NPC-ness-ness. Shall we say... 50 Sec-I drones, 40 Sec-II drones and 10 Sec-III drones? That's probably enough to take out a small army, including high-level mages and fighters.

Statment: The name of the member is Daisuke Hayashi.

Explanation: From what we know, it appears that this power brings with it a evil side.

Conspiratorial Statment: I think it involves cake.

Continued Explanation: To control it, he is apparently fighting the evil side inside his own mind.

Conjecture: This apparently means that the evil side temporarialy has full control of his body.

In fact, it's so bad at reassuring, it went right through the negatives and back into the... positives? Phoenix seems to be calm at least.

Nilhistic Statement: Full Control. The incident we have on record, it was only in control of the actions of the body. This time his body appears to be morphing.

Measurement: It appears to have been fifteen minutes already.

Comparison: The longest time for a fight against an Inner Hollow is apparently around seventy minutes. The room he is in can hold against the energies it is being subjected to for ninety.

Reassurance: If he wins, he will have full control, and will not have another episode of the type where it takes control of his body again.

While that's all happening, room 131 opens.

Mr E exits with a bucket of small, plastic... things. They're electronic to say the least. Behind him is his pet, carrying a ladder in its mouth. "Time is fleeting... We should hurry with this." He says as he approaches a security camera. His pet sets the ladder down, he climbs it with a single device, and attaches it to the camera. As I have to go right now, assume he does this to every camera. Feel free to interrupt, but don't expect a reply until much later.

Quinn, having finally finished her aquatic aerobics, is drying herself off when shaking starts.

And, being led by Herbert the Drone, she heads to the source of the shaking, and reaches over to open the door...

The security drones assumed she just wanted to observe and didn't try to stop her.

Bad.

The instant the door handle turns/the door unlocks, it is blasted open, and Daisuke reaches through. His sword is in his hand, as seperating him and it would just have increased the area that could have gone out of control.

As such, he looks like this at the moment. The Hollow Daisuke is being refered to as Haisuke.



Haisuke swipes at Quinn with a viscious snarl using the sword.

In the Greatroom

Statement: Oh, crap.

GloG Security Room

On one of the screens, a timer is counting up. It is one of the things Daisuke requested the security drones to put up. It currently reads:

Johnny hears the noise of the explosion.
Damn.
And rushes there, hands blazing with energy.
He tries putting a magical forcefield-globe around Daisuke.

And fails, for one reason.

Shunpo. A high-speed movement technique. Haisuke ignores the deadtimed Quinn for now.

Snarling, Haisuke disappears as the force-field snaps into place, and reappears beding Johnny. He brings the sword down in a viscious two-handed blow.

The sword slices throught Johnny, but he just seems to fade away like the morning mist.
Tisk tisk, I thought you knew that sorcerers can cast illusions. Daisuke, I know how strong you are, do you honestly think I'd charge in blindly? Maybe two years ago, but people change.
The voice just resonates from everywhere, making it impossible to tell.
Lightning strikes at Daisuke from everywhere.

The explosion from the lightning hitting Daisuke creates a smoke cloud.

When it clears... his clothes are burnt. And the same material that the mask is made of seems to have extended across his entire head, with only his hair left visible.

In Daisuke's spirit world

Daisuke and his Inner Hollow are fighting. At the moment, if anyone looked, they would not be able to tell who was winning.

Bring light to the darkness, Shinken.

As Daisuke says this, so does the Inner Hollow. Both their swords glow.
Since when could you use Shikai?
You idiot. I can use it BECAUSE YOU CAN!

Real World

Daisuke's sword begins glowing. With a snarl, he unleashes a blast along the corridor in both directions, covering the entire corridor.

Security Room

Daisuke Hayashi mindscape battle time: 21:30

There's a grunt of pain, but the grunt still comes from everywhere.
There's arcane chanting coming from everywhere, getting faster and louder quite quickly.
Haisuke should find himself encased in a "bubble" of pure arcane energy.
Sorry Daisuke, but this has to be done.
The "bubble" flies about, slamming itself into walls, floors and ceilings. With Haisuke inside if it worked.

Haisuke is trapped inside. He gets bounced.

Damage? None.

At the same time, the spiritual pressure increases. A normal human anywhere on the GLoG base should be having trouble breathing now.

Finally, Haisuke starts slashing at the inside of the bubble.

The bubble is incredibly strong on its own. It's also being bolstered by both Johnny's energy (which is a lot) and the portion of his master's energy (which is a heck of a lot more) stored in his amulet.

The sword looks like it's about to puncture the bubble, then bounces back like it just hit a wall of very bouncy rubber.

Johnny, is currently in his own bubble, allowing him to breathe easily.

The "Haisuke bubble" keeps getting smashed about. The idea is not to hurt him, but to keep him occupied long enough for Daisuke to win out. (Because Johnny knows in his heart that deep within Haisuke, Daisuke is fighting for control)
Fight him Daisuke! Fight him! You control him! Not the other way around!
Johnny's voice is still resonating from everywhere.

Another spiritual blast gets let off. This is capable of easily blasting a hole in the wall.

Haisuke is still snarling.

There's a grunt of effort coming from everywhere.
The bubble takes the blast and a large crack in the bubble appears, but the crack quickly mends.
From withing the "Haisuke bubble", chains made of divine energy attempt to latch onto Haisuke's arms and legs, with the aim of preventing him from moving.
Thanks V, you're the best. Johnny mutters from nowhere in particular.
The chains themselves are almost as strong as the "bubble".

Daisuke's mindscape

At the moment, Daisuke appears to be losing. At least, he has taken several hits, while the Inner Hollow hasn't.

I am SICK OF YOU! Always 'oh, I have to find out Reinholdt's story'. 'oh, I have to purify my brother'. 'oh, I have to help Dani' NONE OF THAT MATTERS, YOU IDIOT! THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS IS THE INSTINCT TO FIGHT, AND YOU DON'T HAVE THAT!

Shut... up. Bankai. Moetasu Hikari.

The glow from both of their swords starts to behave like fire.

Real World

Daisuke's sword does this as well, and suddenly another blast, almost three times as powerful, strikes against the chains and the bubble.

Security Room

The chains break and the bubble cracks all over.
There's another grunt.
The bubble mends itself once more and even more chains come out, reaching for everything they can.
I don't want to hurt you Daisuke.... BUT I WILL IF I MUST!
The chains look like they get a lot stronger and so does the "bubble", white fire begins to burn all around the inside of the "bubble".
Johnny steps out of the shadows.
His entire form is lit up with a blue-and-white glow. His eyes are different colours, one blue, one white. His hair has turned silver. He holds one hand towards the "bubble" like claw.
Sleep of fire.
He closes the hand slowly and as he does so, the bubble begins to shrink around Haisuke, bringing the white fire closer to Haisuke.

The sword in Haisuke's hand looks like it's about to let off another blast. However, this time, it is held within the blade, while he cuts at the bubble and chains.

This time, the bubble cracks. It would repair itself, but Haisuke doesn't let the sword bounce back, instead holding it in. The white fire partially burns him, but white bony material similar to the mask forms around those areas.

Finally, the bubble cannot take any more damage, and shatters. Haisuke quickly jumps out of that location. He lands on the ground.

The box that he has in his pocket starts reacting to the Hollow-like spiritual energies, causing the one that Dani has to react strangely as well.

The Doctor gets up, and hearing this chaos, runs towards the area.

He's going to see a rampaging Hollow-Daisuke, who for ease of convinience is being called Haisuke. Rampaging right towards him.

Is he any good at combat?
